Key Responsibilities
- Channel Ownership & Strategy
- Set the holistic paid‑media strategy, leveraging all channels—from mass reach media (e.g., TV, billboards, podcasts) to precision digital buys (e.g., paid social, paid search, programmatic)—to maximize incremental orders and LTV‑to‑CAC.
- Partner with creative teams to concept, test, and scale innovative ad creative that breaks through crowded channels and improves marginal ROI.
- Continuously re‑forecast and re‑allocate spend based on marginal ROI, saturation curves, seasonality, and inventory dynamics.
- Lead quarterly spend planning and pacing, adjusting monthly to hit CAC and volume goals.
- Measurement & Optimization
- Develop and maintain a unified KPI dashboard providing real-time visibility into channel performance.
- Establish rigorous incrementality testing programs and continually refine attribution models (server-side attribution, Marketing Mix Modeling).
- Leverage deep analytical expertise (SQL, regression analysis, advanced Excel) to uncover insights and improve marketing efficiency.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Closely partner with Finance on forecasting, budgeting, and spend optimization.
- Align closely with Risk and Operations to maximize customer lifetime value.
- Collaborate with Brand Marketing & Partnerships to ensure cohesive, effective messaging and strategic alignment.
- Team & Vendor Management
- Report to the VP of Marketing with 0-1 direct reports initially, and opportunity to build the team as spend scales.
- Own paid marketing channels, systematically capturing and transferring best practices, processes, and data internally.
- Evaluate, select, and manage external vendors and freelancers as needed to complement internal capabilities.
- Experience
- 5+ years of proven experience leading full‑funnel marketing at high-growth, consumer-facing companies.
- Demonstrated success managing and scaling paid media budgets ($300K+ monthly), with experience operating in or scaling toward seven-figure monthly spend environments.
- Technical & Analytical Skills
- Expert-level proficiency in digital analytics (e.g., Sigma, FullStory, etc.), SQL querying, Excel modeling, and regression analysis.
- Extensive hands-on experience with server-side tagging, conversion APIs (Meta, TikTok, Google), and advanced attribution methods, including MMM and incrementality testing.
- Business Acumen
- Proven experience owning channel-level P&Ls, comfortable with financial modeling and performance forecasting.
- Deep understanding of customer lifetime value (LTV), cost per acquisition (CAC), and profitability metrics; able to communicate trade‑offs clearly to executives.
- Leadership & Collaboration
- Outstanding cross-functional collaboration skills; comfortable communicating strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders.
- Prior experience building or growing an internal marketing team and managing marketing operations
- Nice to Have
- Experience in subscription, automotive, or high-consideration consumer businesses
- Background in geographic expansion or multi-market launches
- Prior experience marketing inventory-constrained products
