Anchorage Digital is looking for a People Operations leader to help drive an efficient, seamless, and human employee experience by optimizing core people processes, programs, and technologies. As a People Operations Lead, you will ensure excellence in HR systems, compliance, and workplace operations while maintaining data integrity and supporting global workforce needs. You will elevate, develop, and grow the skills and competencies of the People Operations team through coaching, continuous feedback, and goal setting while being an advocate of our programs, philosophies, and policies.


We have created the Factors of Growth & Impact to help Villagers better measure impact and articulate coaching, feedback, and the rich and rewarding learning that happens while exploring, developing, and mastering the capabilities and contributions within and outside of the People Operations Lead role:

Technical Skills:

  • Manages and leads all aspects of People Operations including, but not limited to: onboarding and offboarding, immigration projects, policy creation and maintenance, system management (Dayforce), compliance, internal mobility, and various other strategic processes.
  • Ensures compliance with employment laws and regulations globally.
  • Develops and updates People policies and the employee handbook with evolving company and workforce needs.
  • Develops and tracks key People metrics to inform decision-making and track trends.

Complexity and Impact of Work:

  • Leads critical People Operations projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and the overall employee experience. Proactively identifies opportunities to improve, automate, and scale existing processes.
  • Optimizes current People tech stack to ensure our systems and tools meet the needs of Anchorage and contribute to overall positive employee experience
  • Proactively ensures knowledge is shared and processes are scalable within the People Operations team to avoid single points of failure and unnecessarily manual work.

Organizational Knowledge:

  • Clearly understands and effectively communicates the ways People Operations contributes to Anchorage's growth and success.
  • Partners with cross-functional stakeholders to build processes and policies that support Anchorage’s overall goals.
  • Supports and grows workplace operations at our key global locations: NYC, Porto, Lisbon, and Singapore.

Communication and Influence

  • Is recognized as a subject matter expert and strong leader for end-to-end People Operations both within the People team and across the organization.
  • Identifies, leads, and communicates challenges and solutions, ensuring alignment across the People team and secures buy-in from key stakeholders.
  • Builds trust and credibility by serving as a key point of contact for employees on People policies, process, and systems.

Team Leadership

  • Develops team members through individual coaching, goal setting, and performance management
  • Defines People Operations team direction and priorities and clearly communicates strategy to team members while effectively translating strategy into individual goals, priorities and expectations.
  • Fully owns People Operations resource planning and end-to-end hiring process, and is accountable for achieving hiring goals.

You may be a fit for this role if you have:

  • 4-6 years of HR or People Operations experience, preferably at least some in a startup or high-growth environment
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws
  • Technical experience with Dayforce
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Bias toward action, but an ability to acknowledge and fix mistakes quickly
  • Proactive problem-solver with a data-driven approach
  • Adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change
