This role will provide advice and direction, supporting key business initiatives, and ensuring maximum organizational effectiveness. This individual will work closely with senior leadership on strategic people and organization decisions, engagement, employee development, policy, compensation, and performance management initiatives. The Senior HR Business Partner is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full-cycle support. We're looking for a Senior People Business Partner to join our People team at BlackLine. This role will provide advice and direction, supporting key business initiatives, and ensuring maximum organizational effectiveness. This individual will work closely with senior leadership on strategic people and organization decisions, engagement, employee development, policy, compensation, and performance management initiatives. The Senior HR Business Partner is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full-cycle support. This role is core in executing our talent and HR initiatives, providing excellent support to employees and managers, coaching leaders, and driving people programs and process improvements.

- Provide strategic thought partnership and coaching to our leaders in leading and scaling high performing with business outcomes in mind.
- Partner with executives, senior leaders, and mid-level managers to identify and address human capital challenges or opportunities via effective design, development, and implementation of HR practices to support the strategic growth of the business, including (but not limited to) Talent & Succession Planning, Leadership Development, Employee Engagement, etc.) .
- Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies. Assess and anticipate HR-related needs of organization and/or business units.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, and HR Operations to effectively execute people strategy for the credit union.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Build relationships and engage workforce at all levels to create open door policy and invite concerns before escalation occurs.
- Establish key talent metrics and KPIs to measure performance within the business and proactively highlight areas of risk and opportunity.
- Use a data-driven approach to analyze trends, inform decisions, and implement actions to increase productivity and retention.
- Support all cyclical programs including performance reviews, compensation (merit) review processes and global engagement surveys .
- Serve as a thought leader and work collaboratively with our Talent Development team to shape development programs for high potential employees and key talent.
- Partner with Total Rewards team to align compensation with competitive market expectations.
- Design and facilitate change efforts & communication strategies related to HR and other organization wide programs.
- Support ER investigations, partnering with internal and external legal counsel where appropriate .
- Work collaboratively with our People shared services and COEs to ensure best-practice and a constant focus on process improvement.
What You'll Bring:
Years of Experience in Related Field and Education
- Background of at least eight (8) years as an HR Business Partner at a mid-large size company partnering with senior-level leadership; and twelve (12) years of overall HR or work-related experience
- BA/BS in a relevant discipline (human resources, business, psychology, etc.) or relevant experience that demonstrates an ability to influence business outcomes through the development of people
Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and organizational savvy, relates well to others, builds relationships throughout the organization
- An objective and trusted advisor, able to effectively collaborate with and engage stakeholders in difficult discussion, to challenge assumptions, advise on the talent implications of decisions and present alternate explanations and solutions
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Ability to work swiftly within tight time constraints and agility to adapt to changing priorities while remaining calm under pressure
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS (Workday is a definite plus) and ATS platforms (iCIMS experience desirable)
- Can-do, sleeves-rolled-up attitude, committed not only to solving problems but preventing them in the future
- Relevant professional certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is a plus
- Experience working for a global company
- Experience of supporting a Product, Engineering or GTM functions
- Experience supporting employee in Mexico, bilingual in Spanish is a plus
- Experience working in a SaaS company and knowledge of Tech industry
