Locus Robotics is a leader in the rapidly growing eCommerce order fulfillment optimization space. Our solution helps warehouse owners attain 2-3X efficiency improvement over cart-picking operations, by empowering pickers to work collaboratively with our robots. All this is accomplished while integrating with the operator’s Warehouse Management System, utilizing and optimizing existing facility infrastructure. This Internship role is an exciting, hands-on opportunity for students interested in launching a career in People Operations/Human Resources. As an intern, you will gain real-world experience across People Operations, develop essential skills, and contribute to impactful projects that support our employees and culture. This internship is designed to provide mentorship, professional growth, and meaningful exposure to HR in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.    

  • Hybrid position located at our Wilmington, MA headquarters, requiring at least four (4) days per week onsite. Only local candidates will be considered.
  • Internship period is May–August 2026, during standard business hours (Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET).

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the global onboarding experience by supporting new hire communications, weekly orientations, background checks, HR documentation, and employee record management.
  • Assist with maintaining and auditing employee personnel files to ensure compliance with legal requirements and internal standards.
  • Maintain and update electronic employee records in ADP, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintain regular updates to the internal People Operations webpage, including relevant news and communications.
  • Act as a point of contact for employees and managers by supporting a variety of HR-related questions and requests. 
  • Collaborate on HR events, training sessions, and employee engagement initiatives.

Qualifications 

  • Candidates must be available to work a hybrid schedule, with a minimum of four (4) days per week onsite at our Wilmington, MA headquarters
  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate (rising senior) or graduate student at an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 required.
  • Proficiency with software applications including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Google Drive, and Zoom.
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized, with a demonstrated ability to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Skilled at managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize work, operate independently, and seek guidance when appropriate.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive employee information.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
