What We Need

We are looking for a strategic, detail-oriented Payroll Manager to support our growing organization. This role will own end-to-end payroll processing for multi-state U.S. payroll and international payroll (Canada, the UK, Germany), predominantly for an exempt workforce, taking full accountability for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all applicable local, regional, and national regulations. You’ll be the primary liaison with external payroll vendors and providers, proactively managing relationships, service delivery, issue resolution. Serve as a direct, trusted point of contact for employees regarding payroll questions and issues, delivering timely, accurate resolutions with a high level of customer service, care, confidentiality, and professionalism.  You should be highly proficient in ADP Workforce Now with in-depth knowledge of payroll compliance, tax regulations, and employment-related statutory requirements across multiple U.S. states and multiple countries.  


What You’ll Do

  • Own end-to-end payroll processing for multi-state U.S. payroll and international payroll (Canada, the UK, Germany), predominantly for an exempt workforce, taking full accountability for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all applicable local, regional, and national regulations. 
  • Act as the primary liaison with external payroll vendors and providers, proactively managing relationships, service delivery, issue resolution, and continuous improvement through strong ownership and follow-through. 
  • Review, validate, and reconcile payroll inputs and outputs, including earnings, deductions, benefits, taxes, and statutory filings, independently identifying and resolving discrepancies. 
  • Coordinate closely with internal partners to ensure employee data, compensation changes, and benefit deductions are accurate, complete, and reflected correctly in payroll, proactively addressing gaps or risks. 
  • Serve as a direct, trusted point of contact for employees regarding payroll questions and issues, delivering timely, accurate resolutions with a high level of customer service, care, confidentiality, and professionalism. 
  • Manage payroll calendars, cutoffs, and deadlines across multiple time zones, anticipating dependencies and risks to ensure on-time delivery. 
  • Lead payroll audits and support internal and external inquiries, independently driving requests to completion and ensuring accurate documentation. 
  • Develop, document, and maintain payroll processes, controls, and standard operating procedures, ensuring clarity, consistency, and sustainability. 
  • Identify and proactively implement opportunities to improve payroll accuracy, efficiency, and scalability, including vendor optimization and process automation. 
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on U.S. and global payroll practices, advising stakeholders on payroll-related impacts of policy, organizational, or system changes. 

Who You Are

  • 8+ years of progressive payroll experience, including hands-on responsibility for multi-country or global payroll processing. 
  • Strong experience coordinating with external payroll vendors and third-party service providers with a high degree of ownership. 
  • Experience working with ADP Workforce Now is required. 
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll compliance, tax regulations, and employment-related statutory requirements across multiple U.S. states and multiple countries. 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with demonstrated ability to proactively manage competing deadlines and priorities. 
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, including direct, employee-facing experience resolving payroll inquiries with care and professionalism. 
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with HR, Finance, Legal, Sales Operations, and other partners. 
  • Project management experience and experience supporting system implementations are a plus. 

What We Offer

Our comprehensive compensation package is vital in how we recognize our people for the impact they make on us reaching our goals as a company.

For this role, the estimated base is $100,000 - $125,000 + Bonus. The actual salary may vary based on a range of factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
