Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a strategic, delivery-focused payments leader to lead the business execution of our Payments Risk and Resiliency Programs across payment anomaly detection, end-to-end payment traceability, and SWIFT resiliency. The successful candidate will establish integrated governance, align business and technology delivery, manage interdependencies, lead the transition from project implementation to a sustainable business-as-usual operating model, and assume ongoing ownership and daily management of these capabilities to ensure their continued effectiveness, governance, and delivery of business outcomes

Why this role is important to us?

Our Payments Risk and Resiliency Programs are intended to strengthen payment messaging resilience through improved end-to-end traceability, anomaly detection and response, and infrastructure readiness. This role provides the senior business leadership needed to connect the three workstreams, maintain delivery discipline and ensure that new capabilities become controlled, scalable and operationally effective services.

Join us if contributing to our Payments Risk and Resiliency Programs is a challenge you are up for.

What you will be responsible for

  • Own the integrated business delivery plan, scope, roadmap, governance and executive reporting across the three Payments Risk and Resiliency workstreams.
  • Translate the programme charter and business requirements into prioritized deliverables, accountable owners, milestones, dependencies and measurable outcomes.
  • Lead cross-functional engagement across Payments Operations, Technology, Cybersecurity, Architecture, Risk, Compliance, Client Service, Finance and SWIFT stakeholders.
  • Direct the business analysis approach, ensuring requirements, process maps, operating model decisions, controls, user stories and acceptance criteria are complete and traceable.
  • Oversee anomaly detection implementation, including operating model design and implementation, rule management, data requirements, case management, explainability, exception handling, approval controls, testing and production readiness.
  • Oversee payment traceability delivery, including application inventory, lifecycle-event mapping, payment identifier correlation, exception visibility, access controls and client-safe status design.
  • Coordinate SWIFT resilience planning, readiness, governance decisions, test strategy, adoption planning and alignment with the anomaly and traceability workstreams.
  • Establish the Anomaly Detection target operating model, resourcing, training, procedures, service measures, control framework, and transition plan to BAU, assuming ongoing ownership and management of the function following implementation.
  • Manage delivery risks, funding and resource dependencies, escalating decisions and issues with clear options and recommendations.
  • Align anomaly detection and cyber-response processes so suspicious or incorrect payment activity is triaged effectively during resilience events.
  • Represent the programme at steering committees and senior forums using concise, evidence-based reporting.

What we value:

These skills will help you succeed in this role:

  • Senior leadership, operations and programme delivery experience in global payments, treasury, settlement or financial market infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end payment flows, SWIFT messaging, screening, operational controls, resilience and technology dependencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead business and technology change from discovery through implementation and BAU transition.
  • Excellent governance, executive communication, stakeholder influence and decision-making skills.
  • Strong risk, control, regulatory and audit awareness, including operational resilience and data protection considerations.

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, technology, risk or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of relevant financial services experience, including senior programme or change leadership.
  • Experience leading multi-workstream payment or operational resilience programmes is highly valued.

Salary Range:
