We are looking for a Partnership Relationship Manager to join our Partnerships team. This role will be a key to Simply Business’ success by building effective relationships with our partner organizations and internal teams to optimize performance, initiatives, incentives, and relationships to mutually benefit Simply Business and our partners.
This role will report to our Director of Partnership Relations and work closely with our Business Development, Product Management, DNA, and Insurance Product teams to influence our performance and strategy with newly launched and ongoing partnerships.
As a Partnership Relationship Manager, you will:
- Manage day-to-day relationships with partner organizations
- Innovate with Digital Product, Insurance Product, Commercial, and DNA teams to drive profitable growth with your assigned partners
- Own partner meetings, documenting meeting outcomes, and follow through on delivery of action items
- Facilitate open and transparent dialogue between SB and our partners, setting clear expectations internally and externally
- Report performance and status updates of each partner both internally and externally
- Become an extension of the partner’s team, knowing their pain points and growth aspirations
- Track and report out results and optimization efforts with each partner carrier with support from our data and analytics team
- Travel as needed (approximately 25%) to assigned partners and/or industry events
What we are looking for:
- 3-5+ years of experience in an account management, project management, or sales
- Must have prior experience in the insurance industry
- A highly confident relationship builder with the natural ability to engage, build relationships, and understand the needs of our partners balanced against those of SB
- Excellent communication skills and experience delivering compelling pitches, presentations, and proposals based on business and potential partners needs
- A self-starter with the ability to manage and prioritize your own workload and pipeline to the needs of the business, with effective communication skills
- Strong presentation and meeting facilitation skills
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to understand interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs, provide motivation and direction to ensure objectives are achieved, manage dependencies, and anticipate and mitigate risks
- Proven problem solving skills
- Comfort generating and evaluating data to guide decisions
- Formulate new solutions to complex issues that have not arisen previously and work cross-functionally to implement them
- Devise ways of forecasting the expected results of various programs, track actual results against forecast, and mitigate challenges
- Organize and facilitate effective meetings. Identify and delegate action items, follow-up/track action items to resolution, update project plans & deliverables, and as required identify issues and ultimately resolve issues off-line (to ensure effective meetings at all levels)The ability to challenge us!
