Overview
As an Outside Sales Engineer, you will drive market expansion and grow sales within your designated territory. You will spend the majority of your time engaging directly with commercial customers, reading construction bid documents, and building tailored engineered equipment solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Spend 60%+ of your time in the field securing new accounts and growing customer relationships.
- Manage commercial engineered equipment sales activities from initial design to closing.
- Interpret construction bid documents and generate technical project proposals/quotations.
- Maintain accurate sales pipelines and customer data utilizing Salesforce/Netsuite CRM.
- Deliver compelling sales presentations and monitor competitor activity within your market.
- Attend industry seminars, manufacturer webinars, and internal training sessions.
Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years of combined inside/outside sales experience in hydronic equipment, HVAC distribution, manufacturing, or fabrication.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of HVAC equipment, applications, and commercial construction negotiation.
- Education: High School diploma required; college degree in business or engineering preferred.
- Software: Hands-on experience with Salesforce, Netsuite or similar CRM.
- Requirements: Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; ability to travel across assigned territory.
