PCN 2094
Position Overview:
The Girard School of Business at Merrimack College invites applications for a full-time, open-rank, Non-Tenure Track (NTT) faculty position in Marketing beginning in Fall 2027.
The Girard School is seeking a faculty member who can help build a distinctive model of business education and applied scholarship at the intersection of marketing, analytics, artificial intelligence, technology, and the future of work. We are particularly interested in candidates who combine meaningful professional or industry experience with a strong commitment to teaching, scholarship, and external engagement.
This position is part of a broader strategic investment in faculty, research, experiential learning, and industry engagement within the Girard School. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to play a formative role in the development of the School's emerging Center for the Future of Work, an interdisciplinary research and engagement platform focused on understanding how technological, economic, demographic, and other forces are reshaping work and organizations.
Located in the Merrimack Valley, the School is particularly interested in leveraging the region's concentration of companies, industries, communities, and organizations as a setting for applied inquiry and partnership, while building relationships that extend nationally and globally.
The Center will seek to bridge academic inquiry and industry practice by working directly with organizations to identify consequential challenges, conduct applied research, engage students in real-world problem solving, and translate insights into scholarship, teaching, and broader thought leadership. The Center's work will be complemented by Applied Industry Labs that bring faculty, students, and industry partners together around real-world organizational and industry challenges.
Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate and graduate Marketing courses consistent with the candidate's expertise and the needs of the Girard School, including courses related to marketing analytics and/or emerging technologies;

Qualifications
We are especially interested in candidates who are comfortable operating across academic and industry environments—individuals who can engage executives and organizational leaders, identify important questions emerging from practice, study those questions rigorously, and bring the resulting insights into the classroom and scholarly community.
The Girard School welcomes candidates whose careers have crossed traditional boundaries between industry and academia, including accomplished executives and senior practitioners who have developed or are developing a substantive scholarly and teaching agenda.
