We are seeking a Space Planner/Construction Manager in a newly created role who will be a key member of Dynatrace’s Facilities and Real Estate global team. You will be supporting our Business and Operational teams, administering our Space Planning, Desk Reservation, and other facilities centric software, and supporting construction projects. You will support our department’s growth by playing a central role in managing our existing space and completing construction projects around the globe. In addition, a core component of the role will involve working with stakeholders in the business, finance, employee digital experience, innovation/R&D and human resource teams by providing subject matter expertise, metrics, transparency, and reliable tools. You must be a creative problem solver with effective people skills across cultures and levels in the organization.

You are highly analytical, data driven, detail-oriented individual who is comfortable dealing with ambiguity, in addition to being a subject matter expert in workplace design and construction management. Reports to: Sr Director, Real Estate and Facilities

Travel Requirements: Estimated at 10% to 30% and will be highly project dependent

Responsibilities

  • Be a valued and integral part of our global team, engaging with various levels of leadership, business partners and contractors
  • You will lead and drive the effective roll out and administration of new facilities-based software tools and the administration the facility aspects of our work from home policy
  • Prepare research, outreach, and RFP’s for construction projects globally. Prepare documents and processes that are consistent with purchasing policies
  • Perform variance analysis of budgeted/forecasted capital spend against actual financial performance, surfacing the “why” behind variances
  • Work closely with your business partners to improve transparency and develop value added opportunities (“value engineering”) as construction projects evolve

Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years of progressive experience in space and construction management, experience working in a publicly traded company is desirable.
  • Possess strong understanding of general building codes, construction best practices, space planning and corporate real estate practices
  • Proven project management experience and knowledge of commonly used construction and facility management software tools.
  • Microsoft Excel (pivot table and other advanced features)
  • First Class presentation, communications and interpersonal skills, and proven ability to inform and partner with technical and operating teams including at the most senior levels across the globe
  • Willing and able to accommodate travel when required
