Head of Strategy and Execution, Procurement
The Opportunity
This is a leadership opportunity for a results-driven, engaging and dynamic leader to drive the thought leadership, strategic planning and overall effectiveness of the highly skilled energetic team that leads Procurement. You will help lead the Procurement Transformation and transition from delivery to operation.
The Team
You will be joining the Procurement leadership team which was formed in January 2021. The highly skilled, collaborative and experienced team is in the forming stage and needs assistance organizing. This would include overseeing program management, defining regular meeting cadence and agendas, leading small projects and identifying additional areas of improvement. In addition, you will be a trusted advisor to the Head of Procurement.
The Impact
Provide insight and analysis on the organization's operations, key decisions and other business areas as well as represent the executive in certain meetings they are unable to attend to improve the procurement leadership team's effectiveness.
Organize and prioritize critical issues and required information for the leadership team to facilitate efficient decision making.
Own the process to prepare appropriate materials for strategic presentations such as Board and other Leadership presentations including Business Review Meetings, ad hoc meetings, and strategy meetings ensuring accuracy and appropriate flow of all materials.
Manage audit, controls and governance functions across the organization in coordination with other leaders
Identify/assess issues that could serve as potential barriers to effectiveness and drive corrective actions/alternatives further enhancing the efficiency of the leadership team
Work with the analytics team to develop, track and report on meaningful measurements of success for Procurement.
Engage and inspire others to build a culture of innovation, inclusion and diverse thought leadership.
The Minimum Qualifications
Demonstrated understanding of talent, financial and risk management
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel
A combination of a bachelor's degree and/or 10+ years of experience
Ability to multi-task and work as part of a collaborative team
High degree of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality with business & organizational information
Creative in approach to problem solving, with a demonstrated ability to think strategically, enjoy managing multiple projects simultaneously and handle difficult situations.
Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Creative, organized, positive, optimistic, and energetic
The Ideal Qualifications
Experience working with senior level management & managing teams
Familiarity with the financial services industry
Strong track record or building diverse and inclusive teams across geographies
Experience or exposure to procurement best practices and policies
