As a VP of Sourcing, you will work with WHOOP supply chain, hardware engineering, and accounting teams, leading a sourcing team during new product development and mass production phases encompassing Contract Manufacturers, and component suppliers in Electronic, Electro-Mechanical, and Mechanical located in Asia and North America.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Control the commercial interaction with contract manufacturers, from quoting through execution stages for all of their cost elements and incurred variances.
• Lead and manage a team of Sourcing Managers
• Develop cost prediction models reflecting market trends and cost reduction opportunities
• Manage periodic reviews with strategic suppliers to discuss capacity plans, and key performance indicators
• Constantly monitor material component market trends to mitigate any potential supply risks 
• Publish KPIs for weekly, monthly, quarterly performance 
• Monitor, audit and approve Contract Manufacturer quoting and billing 
• Evaluate sourcing opportunities to optimize quality/delivery/cost/inventory targets
• Partner with hardware engineering team to develop optimal supplier selections for new products
• Collaborate with supply chain planning teams in maintaining “clear to build” material plan and own strategic escalation process into constrained suppliers
• Work collaboratively in a startup environment with a high performance supply chain and hardware engineering team

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BS degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration
• 12+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics or inventory management in a CM/JDM/ODM environment where finished goods production is outsourced overseas, as well as internally vertically integrated.
• Knowledge in fitness wearables and associated supply base desired.
• Strong understanding and extensive experience working with Asia suppliers
• Experience in Arena PLM software desired
• Bilingual English+Mandarin or English+Spanish language skills a strong plus
• Certifications in APICS-CSCP or ISM-CPSM desired

This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
