Chief of Staff to the CPO

As Chief of Staff to the CPO at WHOOP you will report to the Chief Product Officer and help run the branch of the business responsible for defining and designing the future WHOOP member experience. This is an excellent role for someone looking to one day be a head of a product organization or who has aspirations to found their own company.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the CPO to lay out the priorities for the team and organize plans for delivering or exceeding quarterly goals
- Set agendas for team meetings and ensure timely completion of action items and follow-ups across VP- and director-level functions
- Convert abstract ideas and direction into tangible, actionable, and measurable plans
- Quickly cut to the heart of complex matters by unpacking dependencies and clarifying the most important considerations for strategic decisions
- Prepare executive presentations and other internal communications that clearly explain status, decisions, opportunities, risks, and product success metrics
- Build out and oversee program management and executive assistant functions within the product organization
- Regularly consolidate status across the product organization and convey status to the CPO and broader executive team
- Partner with the CTO and the CFO to assist with planning, hiring, and budgeting; ensure adherence to planned budget
- Shadow and/or represent the CPO in meetings in order to protect the CPO’s time and ensure the highest possible leverage for the most strategic initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree; MBA a plus but not required
- 5+ years of Program Management, Operations, and/or Corporate strategy experience, 3+ years in a hypergrowth software technology company
- Solid understanding of product management, design, product ops, and software engineering functions in a technology company
- Outstanding presentation skills and other written communication skills
- Excellent organization and planning skills, ability to successfully oversee dozens of initiatives/projects simultaneously
- Ability to work with minimal oversight and operate effectively despite ambiguity
- Good judgment about when to press on details, consistently high bar for comprehensiveness and precision of communications
- Willingness to move at an uncomfortable pace and gracefully deal with spikes in workload
- Willingness to roll up the sleeves, appreciation that no initiative is too big or too small
- Consistently positive attitude, highly self-motivated, undeterred by challenging feedback or the occasional need to send things back to the drawing board
- Excellent emotional intelligence, ability to motivate others while maintaining strong relationships
