Operations Transformation Manager (Sourcing/Procurement/Supply Chain)
As an Operations Manager (Supply Chain), you’ll assist clients with developing and implementing operations modernization and improvement initiatives for the Operations Practice – all with the resources, environment, and support to help you excel.
From day one, you’ll be empowered by the greater Transformation team to help clients make the moves that will help them achieve their vision and help you achieve more, confidently.
Your day-to-day may include:
- Aid cross-functional teams in the delivery of major transformation initiatives within the realms of operational efficiency programs, digital operations management solutions, product and operations modernization programs incorporating business opportunity assessment, solution strategy, design, program management, implementation of enabling technologies, and organizational change
- Perform engagement management responsibilities that could also include performance reviews, task delegation, project financials, deliverable quality review, and client management across industries
- Assist with the development of solution content, whitepapers, proposals, deliverables and/or other thought leadership material
- Maintain a good working relationship with clients and work effectively with client management and staff at all levels to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, and become a trusted business advisor
- Manage project economics effectively, delivering client work within budget, while overseeing accounting, billing and client receivables to defined profit margin requirements.
- Communicate (verbally and in writing) externally with clients and internally with all levels of the organization to successfully accomplish objectives while portraying knowledge and confidence
- Manage and minimize engagement delivery risk by proactively identifying issues and recommended courses of remediation to engagement teams
- Manage, develop, train, coach and mentor staff on projects and assess performance for engagement and year-end reviews
- Employ change and transformation methods, data, analytics, operations design and fintech to improve operations performance
- Create, interpret, and transform data and analytics into actionable performance insights
- Meet or exceed targeted utilization
- Other duties as assigned
You have the following technical skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Data & Analytics, Engineering, Biotechnology, or related field required
- Minimum 5 years of related work experience in a similar consulting practice or function servicing cross-industry clients at a national level required
- Professional certification in a relevant field required: Lean Six Sigma, Master Black Belt, Black Belt, Green Belt, Certified Supply Chain Professional, Certified Turnaround Professional, etc.
- Client project delivery experience within an industry sector such as Manufacturing, Services, Healthcare, Life Sciences or Asset Management

- Can travel as needed. Expected travel is up to 20-25% but occasionally up to 80%
The base salary range for this position is between $147,200 and $196,880. Placement within the pay range is at Grant Thornton’s discretion, and it is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, job -related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, progression within the role, geographic location, and internal equity. At Grant Thornton, compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
