Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Operations Data Specialist to join our Global Operations Data & Analytics team. This role supports key operational areas such as logistics, order management, inventory, and distribution center (DC) capacity through data analysis, modeling, and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is passionate about using data to drive insights and improve operational performance across global supply chain functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and organizing operational data from various systems (e.g., order flow, inventory levels, DC throughput).
- Build and maintain reports and dashboards to monitor performance metrics and operational trends.
- Support ad hoc analysis requests to help teams understand root causes and performance drivers.
Modeling & Problem Solving:
- Contribute to the development of basic models for inventory, order volumes, and DC capacity.
- Help identify inefficiencies or gaps in operational processes using data-driven approaches.
- Participate in problem-solving sessions with cross-functional teams, providing analytical support and insights.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with global logistics, inventory planning, and order management teams to understand data needs and business challenges.
- Communicate findings clearly through visualizations, summaries, and presentations.
- Document methodologies and share learnings with team members to promote knowledge sharing.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field.
- Up to 2 years of experience in a data analysis or operations support role (internships or co-ops welcome).
- Familiarity with SQL and Excel; exposure to Python or R is a plus.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to logistics, inventory, or order management processes.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or warehouse management systems.
- Interest in capacity planning, throughput analysis, and operational modeling.
- Understanding of basic statistical concepts and forecasting techniques.
