About the Role
InterSystems is seeking a highly motivated Manager of Business Development Representatives (BDR Manager) to lead and grow our Business Development team in North America. As the BDR Manager, you will be responsible for building, training, coaching, and developing a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) to create qualified sales opportunities for the sales teams. The responsibilities include the operational, administrative, and technical tasks in order for the team to exceed expectations.
BDR’s play a critical role in generating pipeline, optimizing prospecting processes, and driving new business opportunities for InterSystems. You will partner closely with Sales, Sales Operations, and Marketing to execute the North America GTM Strategy, ensuring the team consistently delivers high-quality opportunities for our Account Executives
This is a key leadership role for someone passionate about driving performance, mentoring talent, and scaling a high-velocity BDR function within Best in Class Software company.
Manager
- Recruit, onboard, train, and coach a team of BDRs to source, contact, and create qualified opportunities.
- Develop approaches to keep a hiring funnel of talent for accelerated hiring.
- Provide ongoing feedback, performance reviews, and career development opportunities.
- Accurately forecast weekly, monthly, and quarterly attainment for meetings held, pipeline created and sales qualified opportunities
Pipeline Generation
- Develop strategies for attainment of BDR team targets for meetings booked, opportunities and pipeline created.
- Partner with Sales and Sales Leadership to ensure lead handoff processes are effective in order to accelerate opportunity progression to closure.
- Collaborate with Marketing on campaign execution, messaging, and lead quality feedback.
Execution
- Define and refine prospecting workflows, cadences, and qualification criteria to support
- Evaluate, implement, and train on best practices for cadence building, cold calling and emailing to increase response rates
- Leverage existing sales tools and data to drive productivity and scalability.
Strategy & Execution
- Align BDR goals with annual revenue objectives and go-to-market initiatives.
- Experiment with new prospecting strategies, technologies, and playbooks.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in sales or business development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing or mentoring a high-performing BDR/BDR team, ideally in a software/SaaS environment.
- Strong understanding of outbound sales development, required tools, pipeline metrics, and sales cycles.
- Experience with CRM and sales engagement platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Outreach, Highspot, Pega).
- Excellent communication, coaching, and motivational skills.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze performance and optimize accordingly.
- Passion for developing talent and building the next generation of sales leaders.
