Leidos is seeking a Network DevOps Engineer to provide mission critical system support to our customer.  This role will work closely with Infrastructure engineering, network security engineering, network engineering, and SecDevOps engineering, as well as other technology stakeholders to maintain, develop and support the AGUN program executing Agile methodologies within the SAFe framework.  The Network DevOps Engineer will work collaboratively within an AGUN engineering team to deploy and operate systems and help automate and streamline operations and processes.  Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations, and troubleshoot and resolve issues in dev, test, and production environments. 
You must have an active Secret Clearance to be eligible for this position.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Managing, building, configuring, administering, operating, and maintaining Infrastructure as Code targeting virtualized network devices and network element managers
  • Develop automation to configure SD-WAN routers and Next Generation Firewalls with minimal human intervention on a global scale
  • Developing and maintaining scripts, playbooks, and run books to automate tool and application container deployment to a Kubernetes environment and other tasks
  • Development and maintenance of Linux virtual machines that operate as Kubernetes nodes within a distributed Kubernetes cluster
  • Scripting and maintaining all environments including development, test, pre-production, and production.
  • Developing automation to apply security controls and security hardening to network infrastructure and network services
  • Working with other project teams to integrate their products into the I/T infrastructure
  • Assist with the definition of enterprise Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment processes and best practices related to container-based applications
  • Developing automated testing to verify the correction installation, deployment, and operation of I/T infrastructure

Basic Qualifications:

  • Setup, configure, and maintain DevOps pipelines in support of AGUN engineers
  • Troubleshoot user issues with DevOps Services, escalating when necessary
  • Manage infrastructure configurations across all the Network Services provided in support of the AGUN solution
  • Apply security controls and hardening to virtualized network infrastructure and network monitoring applications
  • Document frequently asked questions and create/update knowledge base articles for developers regarding use of DevOps pipelines and tools
  • Candidate must have BS with 4+ years of prior relevant work experience or Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant work experience. Will consider work experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Require active DoD IAT Level II (i.e. Security+) certification or equivalent prior to start

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understands configuration management tools such as Git and Nexus.
  • Strong knowledge with Agile development methodologies and the Atlassian suite of tools
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD integration using Gitlab and Git
  • Experience with Languages including Python, JSON, YAML, Go, and Unix shell Scripting
  • Experience developing CI/CD pipelines using Terraform and/or Ansible

Pay Range:Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00
