The Leidos Innovation Center currently has an opening for a Modeling and Simulation SME. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the AFRL Combat ID advanced research and developments. We perform research-level data analytics to advance the state-of-the-art in advanced machine learning and data fusion applications across multi-modal remote sensing systems on all domain platforms and verify mission improvement through model and simulation analysis to validate new and advanced concepts.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform modeling, simulation, and analysis tasks assessing operational relevance, system survivability, system effectiveness, and overall system performance in engagement and mission-level scenarios.
Develop performance models and algorithms, threat models and command and control models for new and/or existing system simulation frameworks
Perform high-level software development functions using Python, C++, Java or similar languages including design, development, troubleshooting, and debugging software programs.
Collaborate with other experts within the program and in the user community to design, develop, and debug existing software, and to design and develop enhancements that incorporate new capabilities into various components of the existing systems.
Responsible for using sound software engineering principles to ensure that developed code is modifiable, efficient, reliable, understandable, fault tolerant, and reusable, including providing software process management and control throughout the coding portion of the software development process.
Contribute to software development activities as a member of an agile team and actively participate in program increment planning, Feature and Story development, Sprint Planning, Demos, Iteration Retrospectives and related team activities.
Provide input to the test report, ensuring that all stated requirements and test objectives have been evaluated and the documented results adequately and accurately reflect the collected data and analysis conducted during the event.
