Execution:
- Support ABF deal teams with underwriting and analysis, including drafting investment memos, executing trades and exploring new asset types and structures
- Contribute to Investment Committee presentations
- Oversee tasks associated with transaction closings
- Collaborate with Client Portfolio Management to align investment opportunities with client objectives
Diligence & Market Analysis:
- Support the team's client and issuer origination initiatives, including preparation of presentation materials and conducting market analyses of opportunities
- Participate in road shows, presentations, issuer and sponsor meetings, as well as due diligence sessions
- Review offering memoranda, sell-side research, rating agency reports and methodologies, along with other pertinent documentation
- Evaluate and synthesize legal structures with guidance from internal and external counsel
- Engage with bankers, sponsors, and advisors regarding transactions and prospective opportunities
Portfolio Management:
- Perform deal-level surveillance and portfolio management monitoring & reporting to senior leaders
- Deliver credit event updates to senior management and clients
- Manage and process amendments, waivers, and changes
- Address client investment requests with the Client Portfolio Management team
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
- 2-3+ years of relevant structured finance experience or strong credit background
- Superior writing, analytical, quantitative modeling, and basic coding skills are a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic understanding of legal documentation
- Client-focused orientation and flexibility in a dynamic environment
- Strong Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills including spreadsheets, complex formulas, pivot tables and graphs/charts
- Motivated team player and willingness to train and develop junior talent in a high-paced work environment
Preferred:
- BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Math or any other related field of expertise
- CFA® charterholder
- Advanced business or accounting degree
