The Role

As a Sales Account Executive, you’ll prospect, generate pipeline, demonstrate the product  and close higher education opportunities. You’ll reach out to higher ed administrators to educate them on why SchoolAI’s education-first AI solution best supports teaching and learning.  You’ll focus on building partnerships with new prospects, understanding their needs and incorporating AI into educational practices.  And you will work closely with institutional administrators, faculty and IT staff to create impact at scale.

What You'll Do

  • Work with Higher Education institutions to educate, demonstrate and bring the SchoolAI solution to smaller sized colleges and universities.
  • Seek out multiple stakeholders/buyers within the institution, build relationships and open prospective opportunities.
  • Take ownership of territory planning and prospect your territory to seek new higher education clients while building a pipeline 3x-5x. 
  • Demonstrate SchoolAI and teach, tailor and take control to lead prospects to solution.
  • Navigate and sell to evaluation committees while navigating enterprise deals.
  • Guide prospective buyers through the purchasing process to an agreed timeline.
  • Consistently meet/exceed your annual sales quota.
  • Log and maintain accurate records in CRM and deliver an accurate sales forecast.
  • Coordinate with internal resources to ensure key prospects/clients have the information and services they need for decision and success.
  • Understand AI market, competition and inform prospects/customers of market trends.
What We’re Looking For
  • 2+ years as an account executive selling to higher education leaders within small to mid-size institutions.
  • Proven record of exceeding quotas, building pipelines and being a hunter.
  • Familiarity with eductech market, sold SaaS and loves working with admins and faculty.
  • Comfort with opening new markets, traveling to onsites and edtech events.
  • Able to work well with internal team members, ask questions, seek answers, use new tools and organize your day to day to work independently toward success. 
  • Experience selling at all levels, including “C” level and above.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and presentation skills.
  • Can work under pressure, has grit and wants to WIN! 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented startup environment.
  • Team player with a fun, energetic and collaborative approach.
