Job Description

The Metrology OGP Programmer will be responsible for the following tasks with minimal direction:

 

  • Read and interpret prints to understand OGP program requirements, including GD&T, tolerances and datums.
  • Read and interpret all additional product specifications, to identify all dimensions needed and come up with recommendations for any changes needed to achieve this goal.
  • Write OGP Program to measure all dimensions that the technical team has identified as critical.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss job requirements, delivery timelines, and associated risks.
  • Flexibility when possible, with last minute modifications to prints and required dimensions and tolerances.
  • Run and debug OGP program, conduct validation tests and preliminary statistical data analysis, in order to help provide recommendations for next steps.
  • Troubleshoot program issues that may come up during validation, whether they are related to tools used, equipment calibration or pallet dimensions.
  • Train team members, including apprentices, as required.
  • Contribute to team meetings by discussing innovative ideas and providing valuable input.

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation for roles at P&G varies depending on a wide array of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant skill set, and level of relevant experience. At P&G, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Total rewards at P&G include salary + bonus (if applicable) + benefits as follows:

  • Starting range based on relevant experience: $35-$52 per hour.
  • 401k, medical, dental, life insurance, and Employee Assistance Plan.
  • Additional optional benefits available for purchase (i.e. Legal Assistance, Vision)
  • 15 paid vacation days to start, up to 33 as seniority with the company increases.
  • Additional vacation time available for purchase.

  • Flexible start time between 5:00-8:00 AM and end time between 1:30-4:30 PM. 
  • No work on second or third shift is required. OT available during the week or weekends as needed.

Job Qualifications

Technical Skills:

  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge of OGP Measuremind and OGP Zone3 programming.
  • Minimum of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education; understanding of basic math principles is required.
  • Proficient in blueprint reading and capable of working from complex drawings; GD&T knowledge is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office Suite, including MS Teams and MS Outlook (email and calendar).

Organizational/Leadership Skills:

  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to learn quickly and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven capability to train others when appropriate.
  • High degree of knowledge and autonomy to manage follow-ups and handle tasks proactively and independently.
  • Commitment to wearing required safety personal protective equipment (PPE), including eye protection and safety shoes.
