Training and Marketing Content Development Consultant - REMOTE - East Coast
The Opportunity
As a Training and Marketing Content Development Consultant, you'll focus on product breadth, distribution, and technology in a multi-faceted, diverse, and evolving organization. You'll use your experience in translating the complexities of investment products, programs, technology platforms, and processes to our field partners, home office, and retail clients in easy-to-understand content across a variety of communications channels.
The Team
The mission of the MMLIS Product Training and Marketing team is to create an engaging and effective learning experience for registered reps, investment advisors, field staff, and home office associates. We develop learning and marketing assets that span products, investment programs, operational processes, and regulatory subjects. The team is currently comprised of five experienced learning consultants, who specialize in certain areas, but also are agile in adapting to different roles on the team when needed. Collaboration, teamwork, and open communications make this team a reliable resource in creating and enhancing product solutions for more than 5000 producers and 400 home office associates. The current team was formed about 4 years ago and is diverse in terms of gender, ethnicity, and thought. We are unique in our focus on building MassMutual's wealth management organization into a leading provider of investment products and services through a highly trained field force.
The Impact:
As a Training and Marketing Content Development Consultant, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Synthesize product, technology/operations, regulatory, and sales practice information to create clear, complete, and timely learning modules and reference sheets.
- Update training and marketing materials to reflect changes and enhancements to the product platform and technology.
- Collaborate with home office and field stakeholders in the development, review, and implementation of communications plans, campaigns, and tactics across various media channels for advisor and client audiences – letters, digital, newsletters, and advisor-driven communications.
- Analyze effectiveness of communications through the establishment of key performance indicators (KPI's) and adjust accordingly.
- Participate in industry-sponsored conferences and events, as well as webinars and conference calls with advisors and intermediaries.
- Develop and maintain a process workflow that ensures consistent execution and delivery of communications initiatives.
- Leverage third-party educational materials as appropriate for different audiences.
- Build and manage internal client communications storage site on SharePoint and/or OneDrive.
- Take ownership of coordinating deliverables across the organization.
- Exhibit MassMutual competencies including accountability, agility, business acumen, courage, inclusion, resilience, and self-awareness.
The Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of related work experience in financial services marketing or communications
- Series 6 or 7 licenses or willing to acquire within 12 months of hire
- Knowledge of Instructional Design (ADDIE Model: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation of training)
- Excellent writing skills with proven ability with complex financial concepts
- Solid understanding of advisor-client relationships with the ability to leverage this knowledge to develop, launch and manage product and value-add campaigns that resonate with respective audiences
- Knowledge of investment products and the associated regulatory/compliance frameworks
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to lead complex projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong design skills in MS PowerPoint, Word and use of slide/document template
- Working knowledge of Brainshark, Articulate360, and MS Excel
- Motivated, self-directed, ability to think creatively, clear communicator
- Successful track record of building relationships with internal and external colleagues
- Strong project management / time management
The Ideal Qualifications
- MBA
- 5+ years marketing or communications in the investment or wealth management industry
- Digital dexterity
- Understanding of the advisor mindset

Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 ***Commensurate with experience
