SEO Content Manager
Our Opportunity:
Chewy is growing, we seek to add an SEO Content Manager focused on search engine optimization and acquiring new customers. This position will work within our digital marketing team, a group passionate about creating exceptional customer experiences that drive new customers and revenue. As an SEO Content Manager, you will be responsible for managing SEO activities across our content creation, optimizing content to keywords to increase rankings on all major search engines.
What you’ll do:
- Work with marketing team to drive SEO in content creation and strategy
- Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization
- Enhance website copy and landing pages to improve search engine rankings
- Research and implement SEO content best practices, trends and strategies
- Assist with monitoring and developing content for company’s social media outlets
- Execute tests, collect and analyze data and results, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in SEO campaigns
- Recommend changes to website architecture and content to improve organic search positions for target keywords.
What you’ll need:
- 5+ years’ experience working in SEO
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent, preferably in marketing, business or any quantitative or analytical related fields
- Ability to mock web concepts and building websites
- Proven track record in implementing on page and off page best practices
- Ability to break down complex strategies into small, manageable tasks
- Working with developers on site architecture and design for search engine optimization
- Detail oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Thorough understanding of HTML/CSS
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, including the ability to manage projects between multiple ongoing, related initiatives and divisions
- Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
- In-depth experience with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Brightedge, Omniture, SEMRush)
- E-commerce background is a plus
- Position may require travel
