We're looking for a seasoned and proven marketing leader to own and drive the product positioning, messaging, packaging, pricing, enablement, and product launches for the core Mendix cloud platform. This position works closely with the other Product Marketing team members, Product Management, Content Marketing, Sales Enablement and the Global Campaign Team.
You'll be responsible for the following:
- Overall product marketing strategy planning and execution of our core enterprise Low Code application development platform.
- Position and communicate the value proposition of our platform, solutions, and services to customers and partners.
- Development of core marketing materials including master messaging documents, website messaging and deliverables, tutorials, enablement tools, such as case studies, presentations, white papers, newsletters, etc.
- Work closely with customers, as well as product management, sales and services teams to gather buyer insights and better understand customers’ journeys
- Understand market trends and the competitive landscape
- Create sales tools that communicate the value proposition of the product to sales and partner teams
- Analyze the sales cycle and channel mix, and formulate ideas and approaches to optimize the platform adoption process.
- Develop and execute an innovative communications strategy to reach the broadest possible prospect audience and influence virally.
To be successful, you'll have:
- BA/BS degree in a technical marketing or product marketing field
- 7+ years of experience working collaboratively across product management, corporate marketing and sales teams
- 7+ years of experience building and executing creative and effective marketing plans
- Team management experience
- Strong technical knowledge of Agile development, application lifecycle management, CI/CD, Cloud Foundry, DevOps and modern application frameworks
- Good understanding of the aPaas/Paas and cloud market and technology space
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to help prospects find the right solution
- A proven history of growing revenue through Product Marketing for both new and mature product lines
- Situational fluency, ability to influence and motivate others and perseverance to handle challenging situations
