This position may be filled in any of our office locations, or in a hybrid or remote capacity. 

The Marketing Technology Manager is responsible for the administration, optimization, adoption, and ongoing support of the firm’s marketing and business development technology platforms (MarTech stack). This role serves as a key resource for attorneys and business professionals by ensuring the firm’s MarTech stack is effective, user-friendly, and aligned with business needs. 

Working closely with Marketing & Communications, Business Development, IT, the Transformation Office and other administrative departments, the Marketing Technology Manager supports CRM, experience management, email marketing, website, analytics, and related platforms. The role focuses on system administration, user enablement, reporting, implementation support, and continuous improvement of marketing technology tools and processes. Essential job functions include:

Marketing Technology Administration 

  • Administer and support the firm’s MarTech stack. 
  • Manage day-to-day system maintenance, configuration, troubleshooting and testing. 
  • Coordinate upgrades, enhancements, integrations, and vendor-supported improvements. 
  • Monitor platform performance and identify opportunities to improve usability and efficiency. 
  • Maintain system documentation, procedures, and training materials. 
  • Supervise and provide day-to-day direction to a team of marketing technology administrators and data stewards/specialists. 

CRM & Experience Management 

  • Support administration and optimization of CRM and experience management platforms, including InterAction, Foundation, or similar systems. 
  • Assist with data quality initiatives, data cleanup efforts, and user adoption programs. 
  • Develop standard reports, dashboards, and analytics that support marketing and business development activities. 
  • Collaborate with Business Development and Knowledge Management teams to improve data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility. 
  • Respond to user questions and troubleshoot system-related issues. 

Website & Digital Marketing Technology 

  • Support administration of the firm’s website, CMS, and related digital marketing technologies. 
  • Coordinate website updates, content publishing requests, and new page development with marketing stakeholders. 
  • Monitor website analytics and prepare performance reports. 
  • Support SEO initiatives, accessibility improvements, and user experience enhancements. 
  • Assist with annual website reviews and ongoing digital optimization efforts. 
  • Manage mailing lists, audience segmentation, templates, workflows, and email triggers/automations. 
  • Support execution of client alerts, newsletters, event invitations, webinars, surveys, and other email marketing initiatives as needed. 

Reporting & Analytics 

  • Develop and maintain recurring reports and dashboards using available analytics and reporting tools. 
  • Analyze technology usage, website performance, and other marketing metrics. 
  • Translate data into actionable recommendations for marketing and business development teams. 
  • Assist leadership with reporting requests and measurement initiatives. 
  • Support data-driven decision making across marketing programs and campaigns. 

Technology Implementation & User Adoption 

  • Participate in implementation of new marketing technology tools and system enhancements. 
  • Assist with requirements gathering, testing, QA, training, and launch activities. 
  • Provide end-user support and guidance for attorneys and business professionals. 
  • Create training materials, knowledge base articles, and quick-reference guides. 
  • Promote adoption of new tools and features through ongoing communication and education. 

AI & Emerging Technologies 

  • Support evaluation, testing, and implementation of firm-approved AI-enabled marketing technologies. 
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and technology enhancements. 
  • Stay informed on emerging marketing technology trends and recommend practical applications where appropriate. 
  • Assist with user training and adoption of approved AI tools and capabilities. 

Compliance & Data Stewardship 

  • Support adherence to firm policies and applicable regulations related to marketing technology, communications, and data management. 
  • Help maintain data integrity and quality across marketing technology platforms. 
  • Follow established processes related to user access, permissions, records retention, and data privacy. 
  • Escalate data quality, compliance, or technology concerns as appropriate. 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Information Systems, or a related field. 
  • 5+ years of experience supporting marketing technology, CRM, digital marketing, business development technology, or marketing operations. 
  • Experience administering CRM, email marketing, website, or related business development technologies. 
  • Strong project coordination and organizational skills. 
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously. 
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively with attorneys, business professionals, vendors, and technical teams. 

Preferred 

  • Law firm or professional services experience. 
  • Experience with InterAction, Foundation, Vuture, Concep/Litera Marketing, Power BI, Tableau, GA4, Sitecore, Drupal, WordPress, or similar platforms. 
  • Experience supporting marketing automation and email marketing platforms. 
  • Familiarity with CRM data management and reporting best practices. 
  • Experience supporting implementation or migration of marketing technology systems. 
  • Exposure to AI-enabled marketing and productivity tools. 
  • Experience managing, supervising, or providing day-to-day direction to a team.

Compensation & Benefits

Employees are entitled to compensation commensurate with skill and experience. The exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. The expected compensation ranges for this position in various states and jurisdictions are as follows:

State of California: $102,000 - $208,000

State of Colorado: $94,000 - $167,000

State of Connecticut: $81,000 - $205,000

State of Illinois: $92,000 - $179,000

State of Massachusetts: $102,000 - $195,000

State of Maryland: $99,000 - $150,000

State of Maine: $69,000 - $160,000

State of Minnesota: $102,000 - $169,000

Jersey City, NJ: $111,000 - $201,000

State of New York: $95,000 - $205,000

State of Virginia: $66,000 - $193,000

State of Vermont: $101,000 - $193,000

State of Washington: $99,000 - $188,000

Washington, D.C.: $131,000 - $193,000

The above salaries do not include a discretionary bonus, however bonus opportunities are non-guaranteed, and are dependent upon individual and firm performance.
