Many of the world's largest companies trust J.P. Morgan Payments to move their money, and this role helps make that proof impossible to ignore. Join the Client Stories team in a senior marketing role where you'll own a portfolio of client story programs, producing standout content in close partnership with clients, sales, and marketing teams across regions. This is an opportunity for a strategic, creative marketer to hold business storytelling to the standard of the world's best consumer brands, and to help shape where the program goes next.

As a Vice President in the Payments Marketing Client Stories team, you’ll own the strategy, execution and distribution of a portfolio of client story programs, reporting to the Head of Client Stories.
Your core focus is producing excellent client stories, including video, written case studies, and other content, working closely with clients, relationship and sales teams, and marketing partners to find the right stories and put them to work across campaigns and regions.

You'll apply strong editorial judgment every day: deciding which stories to pursue, making prioritization trade-offs, and making sure every story advances our key narratives and business priorities. Collaborating across the wider Creative and Editorial team, you'll also help shape how the program evolves, bringing the business acumen, confidence, and clarity to influence senior leaders across the firm.

This is a full time in-office role.

Job Responsibilities

  • Set editorial direction for the programs you own, deciding which client stories to pursue, which to decline, and how each one advances key Payments narratives and business priorities, in line with the team's overall client stories strategy
  • Make portfolio trade-offs across competing stakeholder requests, and explain the reasoning clearly enough that senior leaders understand and back the plan
  • Lead production of high-quality client stories, including video, written case studies, and other content, holding a high bar for craft, brand standards, and on-time delivery across internal partners and agencies
  • Build trusted relationships with clients and their relationship teams, shaping narratives, preparing interview briefs, and guiding clients smoothly through the storytelling and approval process
  • Translate strategic priorities into sharp briefs, creative direction, and success criteria for every story
  • Partner with sales, campaign, product marketing, and regional teams to place stories in the initiatives and moments where they have the greatest impact, connecting stories to in-market messaging, campaign outcomes, and business impact
  • Evolve how client storytelling is measured and reported and driving success against those benchmarks.
  • Guide how the program evolves, identifying new formats and approaches that increase the impact of client stories, and partnering with teams across marketing to bring the strongest ideas to life
  • Run strong program operations end to end, including pipeline, intake, timelines, governance, budgets, and vendor partnerships, and use AI tools to scale workflows while protecting quality

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

  • Bring 8+ years of experience in marketing, such as customer, content, brand, integrated, creator/influencer, or community marketing
  • Demonstrate strong editorial judgment at a senior level, with a track record of deciding which stories to pursue, managing a content portfolio and pipeline, and aligning work to strategic narratives and priorities
  • Show a body of storytelling work, across video, written, and other formats, held to a consumer-grade creative standard regardless of category or audience
  • Work directly with clients or customers and frontline sales or relationship teams to develop and secure stories
  • Own complex programs end to end, from strategy through execution, in a large, matrixed organization
  • Influence and persuade senior stakeholders without direct authority, bringing strong business acumen, executive presence, and clear, compelling communication
  • Manage agencies, budgets, and production partners, including interview coordination and video shoot logistics
  • Exercise exceptional attention to detail and sound prioritization judgment in a fast-moving environment, with a proactive, accountable mindset

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • Bring experience building customer advocacy, reference, or client storytelling programs
  • Bring experience piloting new storytelling formats or approaches beyond traditional content
  • Bring experience marketing to corporate or business clients
  • Have financial services or payments industry experience
  • Use AI tools to scale creative and operational workflows

  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
