What We're Researching

We're running a paid study on the daily software tools that power modern marketing teams. We want to identify where current platforms excel and where they create administrative friction in your daily routine. This research directly informs how future marketing software is structured for better operational efficiency.

How It Works

You will participate in a 30-minute remote video call to discuss your current marketing processes. During the session, you will walk us through the primary software stack you use for campaign management, reporting, and execution. We will ask you to react to different workflow scenarios and explain how you handle common operational pain points. After the call, there may be an optional take-home exercise to dive deeper into specific tool configurations.

Who This Is For

We welcome active marketing professionals, campaign managers, growth marketers, and marketing operations specialists. You should have hands-on experience configuring and managing daily marketing workflows. Familiarity with standard industry tools and reporting platforms is highly recommended for this conversation.

What You'll Do
  • Join a 30-minute remote video interview to discuss your professional routine

  • Walk us through the software stack you use for daily marketing tasks

  • Identify bottlenecks and friction points in your current workflows

  • Complete an optional take-home exercise on campaign configuration

Who Should Apply
  • Active marketing professional, growth marketer, or campaign manager

  • Hands-on experience managing daily marketing software tools

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
