If you are passionate about complex problem solving and motivated by scale, then this is the role for you!

Who will you work with?

For the day-to-day, this role will report to the Manager of Digital Marketing Programs, partnering closely with our Performance Marketing Director, and the rest of the LastPass paid acquisition team.

  • Develop and implement advanced bidding, targeting, and keyword strategies to reduce CAC and increase ROI across trial, eCommerce, and lead generation initiatives.
  • Execute campaign setup, daily optimizations, A/B testing, and performance reporting - this is a hands-on keyboard role.
  • Conduct multivariate testing across ads, landing pages, and bid strategies to maximize engagement and conversion rates.
  • Media planning and forecast performance by channel, audience, and geography to identify scalable growth opportunities while maintaining profitability.
  • Provide deep analysis of performance KPIs (CPA, CAC, ROI, LTV) and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Stay ahead of platform updates, SEM innovations, and best practices to improve campaign efficiency and output.
  • Partner with the Brand & Creative team to providing creative strategy and insights for paid media asset production (ad copy, display banners, and video/animations)
  • Collaborate with our Web & SEO team to test and optimize landing page experiences to improve conversion rates.

What does it take to work at LastPass?

  • Proven expertise and success in SaaS, PLG, and eCommerce environments, with experience in both B2B and B2C customer acquisition through paid channels.
  • Deep knowledge of Google and Microsoft Ads platforms, performance forecasting, bid algorithms, keyword strategies, web tracking, and campaign scaling techniques to drive growth.
  • Ability to oversee seven-figure paid media budgets and deliver measurable results.
  • Familiarity with CRO methodologies to improve landing page experience and customer journeys.
  • Analytical mindset with fluency in performance metrics and funnel KPIs.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
