Role and Scope of Position: 


The Commercial & Industrial (C&I ) Marketing Manager is responsible for leading and executing marketing strategies, campaigns, outreach, and engagement initiatives within the Energy Efficiency / Electric Mobility / Active Demand Response (EE/EV/ADR) department across the company’s three operating states (Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire). This role ensures consistency with business branding and objectives while executing projects that align with corporate principles. The Manager works closely with internal stakeholders, business and sales management, and the marketing outreach and communications team. The role can be based in Westwood, MA, Berlin, CT, or Manchester, NH.


The C&I Marketing Manager leads all B2B marketing efforts related to EE/EV/ADR programs, developing and executing integrated marketing strategies designed to increase awareness, engagement, and customer participation.


The Manager collaborates with the equivalent leader responsible for Residential marketing and works closely with the PR/Thought Leadership Supervisor to ensure integrated marketing, communications, outreach, and customer engagement strategies.


Reports to the Director of Marketing Communications.


Essential Functions:

  • Leads and collaborates with the marketing team to develop and execute C&I marketing plans and campaigns.
  • Develops and implements marketing strategies for B2B EE/EV/ADR initiatives.
  • Develops and coordinates targeted outreach and engagement plans to increase awareness of EE/EV/ADR solutions and enhance customer interaction.
  • Develops marketing strategies and campaigns designed to drive customer participation and achieve business and program objectives.
  • Works with internal stakeholders, business and sales management, and external partners to identify customer needs, develop marketing opportunities, and execute integrated campaigns.
  • Coordinates with internal and external partners, including copywriters, graphic designers, photographers, advertising agencies, and other vendors.
  • Ensures alignment of key marketing strategies with overall business objectives, brand standards, and customer needs.
  • Develops and supervises marketing plans, ensuring they meet performance goals, budgets, and timelines.
  • Leads marketing partnerships and events, managing execution for conferences, sponsorships, trade associations, and other customer engagement opportunities.
  • Supervises the writing and editing process of multi-year business plans related to C&I program initiatives.
  • Maintains marketing calendars and budgets, ensuring timely execution of campaigns.
  • Analyzes marketing research and campaign performance, providing recommendations for improvements and identifying opportunities to optimize customer engagement.
  • Develops and evaluates advertising plans, targeting strategies, message testing, and other marketing tactics.
  • Analyzes campaign results and return on investment to inform future marketing strategies and budget decisions.
  • Represents EE/EV/ADR at industry conferences, trade associations, customer events, and other engagements as appropriate.

Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Education:    

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related discipline or equivalent experience.                

Experience:        

  • Ten (10) to twelve (12) years related experience.
  • The qualified candidate will have experience managing marketing campaigns for B-to-B customers and demonstrated experience developing and executing integrated marketing strategies.
  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate knowledge and results of digital advertising, copywriting, event strategies and planning, direct mail and email marketing campaigns, customer outreach, and other marketing channels.
  • Experience developing advertising plans, targeting strategies, message testing, campaign measurement, and ROI analysis with responsibility for marketing budgets.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
  • Travels approximately 10% of the time.
  • HYBRID SCHEDULE: Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles. Eligibility is based on job responsibilities, operational needs, nature of work and team dynamics. Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. These guidelines apply to roles approved for remote work and are subject to change,  based on managerial discretion and work performance. All applicants must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed (for example: emergencies, training, or other business needs) or should the policy change.

$152,760.00-$169,730.00
