The Market Trainer will educate Sephora staff about MERIT products, drive in-store sales, and manage training and relationships within stores.

Merit is looking for Market Trainer Consultants to educate Sephora in-store staff about the Merit brand and assortment and develop and execute on in-store trainings in efforts to drive brick and mortar sales. This consulting opportunity is supporting the Edmonton region. This is a field based need with varying hours dependent on business needs. It is variable hours based on business needs (0-15 hours per week.)
Responsibilities:
- Represent the brand and drive in-store sales and trainings within designated territories and stores
- Execute on in-store events that align to brand guidelines and drive sales goals
- Develop effective in-store relationships with store teams
- Drive retail sales through side-by-side selling in stores within the territory
- Ensure in store visuals and merchandising standards are met
Requirements:
- Prior in-store field sales experience at Sephora, with a passion for the beauty industry
- A knowledge of the beauty industry; interest in clean beauty a plus
- Strong sales background
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- An ability to work in teams and autonomously, providing self-direction when needed
- An ability to be agile and thrive in a dynamic, fast moving environment
- An ability to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to build/maintain brand partner/retailer relationships
- Able to work between 0-15 hours a week
- Can work holidays and weekend as necessary
The hourly rate is $25.00-28.00 USD per hour depending on experience and region.
