DESCRIPTION:
The Market Development Specialist is an integral member of the Purification and Pharma Analytics marketing team. In this role, you will collaborate with market development, product management, and commercial colleagues to help deliver marketing programs and tactics that build customer value, generate revenue, and drive growth. You will lead the planning and execution of customer events, managing logistics, vendors, budgets, and cross-functional coordination to deliver impactful experiences. This individual will also be responsible for helping to improve key processes within the marketing organization to drive efficiency and improve performance. Marketing expertise combined with strong project management skills will be required for success in this role as this individual will be expected to balance a variety of projects across multiple channels and teams while delivering on time and achieving key performance targets.   

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of internal (commercial meetings) and external (tradeshows) events, including contract negotiations, event logistics, event technology (apps), internal and external communications, and cross- functional stakeholder coordination to deliver seamless, engaging, and memorable attendee experiences

  • Manage event budgets and performance to ensure cost-effective delivery, delivering exceptional attendee experience, and conducting post-event analysis to measure success, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive continuous enhancement of future events.

  • Drive the production of marketing campaigns/tactics by engaging with key partners, both internally and externally, to drive projects to completion.

  • Work with the Brand and Legal teams to ensure marketing materials meet requirements and are in compliance with all guidelines.

  • Continuously look for areas of optimization and develop SOPs (Standard operating procedures) or other process documents to improve the efficiency of the PPA marketing organization.

  • Adhere to deadlines while keeping projects well organized and optimized.

  • May perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.

EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 5+ years of experience in Market Development, Marketing Communications or Marketing Operations, preferably in life science/ biopharma or B2B industries

  • Strong project management, attention to detail, prioritization, critical thinking, creative and decision-making skills.  

  • Expertise with Microsoft Office tools, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, and experience with Power BI, Seismic, Asana preferred. Comfortable learning new software tools and systems.

  • Events planning/ execution preferred.  Strong analytical skills with experience in post-event analysis, reporting, and implementing improvements a plus.

  • Outstanding verbal/written communication skills

  • Confidence in assisting with the execution of marketing campaign and tactics across a range of channels including email, social, sales enablement, events, and more.

  • Shows good judgment, remains flexible, and quickly responds positively to rapidly changing priorities and circumstances.

  • Self-motivated and driving force in current or past organizations.

  • Collaborative teammate who is prepared to go the extra mile to accomplish critical objectives to drive business and financial outcomes

  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $83,300.00–$105,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
