Job Summary & Responsibilities

The School of Professional Studies seeks a Manager of Strategic Partnerships to strengthen and expand relationships with industry and employer partners in support of the School's educational and workforce development goals. Working closely with the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Market Intelligence, this newly created role serves as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of partners, identifying and executing opportunities to deepen engagement through curriculum collaboration, workforce education initiatives, and program enrollment. Success is measured by enrollment growth, partnership retention, expanded partnership activity, and effective collaboration with internal stakeholders to advance experiential learning and employment opportunities for MCPHS students. This position offers a flexible work arrangement and requires the candidate to live within a commutable distance to the Boston campus.

  • Manage and grow relationships with employer, industry, alumni, and community partners.
  • Respond to inbound partnership inquiries and gather information to assess new opportunities.
  • Support the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Market Intelligence, Director of Business Development, and Director of Professional and Executive Education on strategic initiatives and special projects.
  • Develop partnership proposals and coordinate contracts, invoicing, and related administrative processes.
  • Plan and execute partner and alumni engagement activities, including roundtables, events, and networking programs.
  • Represent the University at conferences, community events, and industry forums to strengthen relationships and identify partnership opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including enrollment services, marketing, advancement, and career development, to support partner engagement and program success.
  • Gather employer feedback and industry insights to inform program development and curriculum planning.
  • Connect partners with appropriate University resources, programs, and personnel.
  • Maintain partnership records, activities, and outcomes in Salesforce and track key performance metrics.
  • Prepare reports, conduct research, and develop tools, templates, and processes that enhance partner engagement and operational efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Experience in higher education, workforce development, professional education, talent acquisition, or training environments
  • Strong organizational, relationship-building, communication, and consultative selling skills
  • Exceptional customer service and stakeholder engagement skills

Preferred:

  • Experience managing employer, industry, alumni, or community partnerships
  • Experience facilitating meetings, events, or stakeholder engagement activities
  • Experience developing proposals, reports, and partnership-related processes
  • Familiarity with contract coordination and invoicing processes
  • Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms

Physical Requirements:

  • Typical office or administrative working conditions.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone and via web conference
  • Work requires occasional travel between campus locations, employer and event sites
