Job Description:

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Providing quality and test advocacy, resource planning and management, and the prompt resolution of issues that impede the testing effort. Documenting test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards, enhancing our commitment to rigorous quality control and ensuring our products meet our high standards consistently. Developing or specifying standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness, reinforcing our dedication to delivering superior products that meet both our internal criteria and our customers' expectations. Participating in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems, ensuring that quality considerations are integral from the earliest stages of development. Planning test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates, aligning testing efforts with overall project timelines to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. Reviewing software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks, further embedding quality into every aspect of our development process. Coordinating user or third-party testing, leveraging external insights to refine our products and meet diverse user needs effectively. Evaluating or recommending software for testing or bug tracking, continuously improving our testing tools and processes for optimal efficiency and effectiveness. Supervises Software Quality Assurance Analysts and Testers. ***Position is remote. Employee’s primary residence must be in New York State.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. Five (5) years’ experience as a Software Engineer, Test Lead, QA Analyst or related position. Experience is required and must include: Working with iterative, waterfall, and agile methodologies; Testing distributed or open systems applications using Test Plans, test cases, test scripts, testing requirements and standards; Leading all phases of IT Test projects and software QA from planning to closing for all major releases; Coordinating with project managers, business users, developers and stakeholders to successfully test all software releases.

Compensation Range(s):

SALARY: $148,987/year

The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position. Actual salary will vary depending on factors including, but not limited to, budget available, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position’s minimum qualifications, in addition to internal equity. The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package. Other components of the total rewards package may include participation in group health and/or dental insurance, retirement plan, wellness program, paid time away from work, and paid holidays.
