Job Description SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to join our PLM Platform Team, to help develop an enterprise integration framework for our Teamcenter (and Windchill) applications. In this role, you will be responsible for defining our strategic direction, establishing standards, and driving the implementation of an Enterprise Integration Framework that enables the seamless flow of information between our PLM, ERP and MES Systems. Outcome achieved will be Model Based Enterprise with a true Digital Thread flow of information between our applications; ultimately transforming how GE Aerospace designs and builds our next generation aircraft engines.Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Work closely with business leaders, IT teams, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into strategic architecture solutions.
  • Establish and enforce architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices across the organization.
  • Ensure that solutions comply with security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Participate in the domain technical and business discussions relative to future architect direction.
  • Gather and analyze data and develops architectural requirements at project level.
  • Monitor the performance of solutions, making recommendations for improvements and optimizations.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architecture, configurations, and processes.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior architects and other IT professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, driving innovation and continuous improvement in cloud architecture and solutions.
  • Integrate Teamcenter with other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CAD, MES) to ensure seamless data flow and process automation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 8 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 10 years of professional experience
  • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Enterprise Integration Frameworks for PLM enterprise applications
  • Familiarity with C/C++, Teamcenter server-side development, BMIDE, Java, HTML, XML, Webservices, REST framework, and/or Active Workspace configuration.
  • Experience with PLM configuration and customization (e.g., Teamcenter).

Eligibility Requirement

  • Hybrid role in either Cincinnati, Ohio or Detroit, Michigan area.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Knowledge of Model Based Enterprise concepts.
  • Strong program/product management skills.
  • Experience with SCRUM/Agile methods.
  • Understanding of Lean principles and methods.
  • Experience with Engineering, Manufacturing, and/or Quality processes and tools.
  • Understanding of “Digital Thread” concepts.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD in a cloud environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, effective in cross-functional teams.
