About the Role -
At Instacart as we continue our rapid growth as a retailer technology company, we are looking to grow our Local Independent Grocery (LIG) team within our commercial organization.This SDR Manager will be responsible for leading a team of Activation SDRs as they identify, contact, and qualify independent retailers as potential partners for Instacart. The Activation SDR Manager will coach their team on sales best practices, prospecting, building and managing a pipeline, and Instacart’s role as a grocery technology enabler. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, can work in a fast-paced environment, and has sales leadership experience in technology, SaaS, CPG, or eCommerce.
About the Team -
The LIG Activation Sales Development Representative (aSDR) team is a new team dedicated to prospecting and developing new local and independent grocery retail partners. The LIG aSDR team will introduce grocers to Instacart's suite of technology solutions providing an easy and efficient way for them to expand their reach, create seamless customer experiences, and drive incremental sales.

- Lead and develop a team of high-performing LIG Activation SDRs to achieve monthly targets
- Measure and track key business and industry trends
- Improve our sales process, collateral, and prospecting capabilities to make your team more effective and efficient
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve scalable processes to reach more retail partners faster
About You
Minimum Qualifications
- History of exceeding sales goals/quota in a fast paced environment
- 3-5 years of experience in a sales management environment (both leading and scaling teams)
- History of developing early career professionals
- Creative problem-solver
- Process and data driven with proven sales funnel optimization success
- Demonstrated success implementing activity metrics and effectively coaching cold outreach

- Track recording of excelling cross functionally and in a high growth climate

Offers may vary based on many factors, such as candidate experience and skills required for the role. This role also includes a Sales Incentive Plan. Additionally, this role is eligible for a new hire equity grant as well as annual refresh grants. Please read more about our benefits offerings here.
