What's the role?

The Team:

HERE Technologies' Product Organization leads transformative initiatives to revolutionize autonomous mobility in the transportation, automotive, and logistics sectors. Central to this mission is the Product Strategy team, orchestrating strategic efforts to identify and address some of the world's most pressing mobility challenges, particularly as HERE advances its vision of becoming the standard for software-defined vehicles and multi-industry location services.

The Role:

You’ll play a pivotal role that combines strategic problem-solving, rapid analysis, and high-impact cross-company collaboration. As a Product Strategy Manager, you’ll be a key partner to leadership, working within a small, agile strategy team. Your mission: tackle some of the most pressing and complex challenges facing the automotive and autonomous industries, helping shape HERE’s future in mapping, mobility, and beyond.

In this role, you’ll lead focused consulting-style engagements—typically in two-to-four four week sprints—designed to resolve critical company-wide questions. You’ll drive strategic initiatives ranging from developing advanced driving solutions to navigating hybrid autonomous-human environments. It’s a role that operates at the intersection of product strategy and implementation—this is high-level strategic work that bridges teams and unlocks decisions across the company.

What will you do?

  • Conduct quick-turn research and market analysis to develop & execute forward-looking product and business strategies particularly related to various advanced and autonomous solutions across transportation, automotive, and multi-industry use cases.
  • Structure complex, ambiguous problems into clear strategic frameworks, building models and actionable recommendations.
  • Create compelling presentations and strategic documentation that enable executive decision-making.
  • Engage stakeholders across HERE, navigating competing perspectives to build alignment on strategy development & execution related to topics such as map architecture, real-time data ingestion, or edge-computing features for embedded systems.
  • Operate at the direction of the leadership team—collecting inputs, synthesizing data, and advancing strategic initiatives at pace in areas such as automotive mapping use cases including embedded navigation, ADAS, and autonomous vehicle systems.
  • Identify and advance partnerships that accelerate HERE’s strategy and competitive edge.
  • Identify and manage product risks as needed, particularly given rapidly evolving requirements around advanced driving and autonomous technologies and need for adhering to compliance requirements (e.g, NDS, ISO 21434, and UNECE r155/156 regulations)
Who are you?
  • You bring hands-on experience understanding the competitive landscape by conducting market analysis and solving complex problems in a rigorous, structured way—similar to consulting environments (e.g., BCG, McKinsey, PwC, etc.)
    • 2+ years in a consulting environment OR
    • 7+ years in corporate product strategy roles
  • You’re energized by ambiguity, quick analysis cycles, and delivering thoughtful insights under tight timelines.
  • You have strong interpersonal skills, genuine curiosity, and a collaborative approach that builds trust across diverse teams.
  • You’re adept at telling stories with data, translating analysis into clear, persuasive recommendations for senior leaders.
  • While we’ve previously emphasized deep automotive or mapping expertise, we’re actively seeking diverse backgrounds that bring fresh perspectives to our strategic questions.
