What you’ll do in this role:

The primary purpose of this position is to plan and direct efforts of departmental personnel in accomplishing stated design and development objectives for new products and processes.

Be a Strategic Leader

•You adhere to Integer’s Values and all safety, environmental, security and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management  Systems, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements.

•You will initiate, direct and manage the design, development and validation of products and technologies which will drive and support the future growth of the organization from concept to implementation.

•You will provide project leadership for development project activity.

•You will review, initiate or approve product and process engineering drawings and layouts, engineering changes, and material and process specifications.

•You will investigate and interpret internal or external technology and business trends and recommend best practices to the organization.

•You will evaluate, develop and implement a wide range of new technologies of significant scope and complexity.

•You may identify and procure new equipment and technology of high complexity, scope and cost.

•You will be responsible for liaising with customers and internal stakeholders, engaging with other functions to execute on project deliverables to realize successful project execution.

•You will support manufacturing development engineering function as it relates to product development activities.

•You may present prepared discourses to various audiences including customers, suppliers, peer groups, and other venues.

•You will plan and execute engineering projects concerned with unique or high-profile problems which have an important impact on major programs.

•You will provide appropriate training and development to team members to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and technical standards.

•You will provide leadership in executing Integer Product Development Process (PDP) documentation activities.

•You will provide supervision for up to a team of technicians and/or engineers.  As well, you will serve as a coach and mentor for other engineers, where you will be modeling the behaviors and disciplines of an engineering or technical professional.

•You may be directed to deploy your expertise across multiple organizations and/or locations.   As a result, travel may be required in this position.

•You demonstrate proficiency in both written and oral communications.

•You embed Quality within the Engineering discipline – “I own Quality.”  You are a standard bearer for Quality in everything we do at Integer, by assuring adherence to our Quality Management System (QMS) and Product Development Process (PDP).

•You perform other duties, as needed, and as directed by your line of supervision.

•Safety is our highest priority; you will be an active supporter of the Integer Environmental, Health & Safety programs.

•You will have defined Goals and Objectives specifying key projects and expected milestones to achieve.

•Given your capabilities and experience, you will be expected to identify ways to shorten project durations and lead systemic changes of moderate complexity to current processes and procedures that enable greater efficiencies.

•Innovation and ideation are critical aspects of your role and you will be expected to generate continuous improvement suggestions and support the implementation of them.

•You will be expected to develop designs and processes that meet or exceed cost and performance targets..

•For assigned projects, you will adhere to schedules and budgets. 

What sets you apart:

•You have earned, as a minimum, a Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or related technical field.  Preferably, you may also have a Master’s Degree.

•You are technically seen as a subject matter expert within your department, a recognition you have earned through 7+ years of progressive engineering and/or technically focused roles and experiences with 2-5 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.

•You have a strong foundation and demonstrated capability in problem-solving and working within a project management environment. 

•Your abilities to observe, analyze and develop solutions to complex technical challenges result in the delivery of results in areas such as development productivity, technical capabilities, time-to-market, or other competitive differentiators.

•You work collaboratively with cross functional teams.

•You will demonstrate the ability to lead team activities and act as a coach for other less experienced associates.

•You maintain a calm demeanor that transcends the high energy, constantly changing development environment.

Salary: $114,000-167,200
