Job Summary & Responsibilities

General Purpose:

The Manager, Mid-Market Accounts is responsible for leading a team that manages and grows relationships with mid-market accounts (clients that have between 50 and 249 employees and/or that have MRR between $4,000 and $14,999). This role oversees mid-market account managers, ensures high customer satisfaction, drives revenue growth, and aligns account strategies with broader business goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leads, coaches, and mentors a team of mid-market account managers, modeling the TPx North Star Operating Principles and Cultural Behaviors
  • Sets performance goals, conducts regular reviews, and provides feedback
  • Fosters a high-performance, customer-centric culture
  • Builds and maintains senior-level relationships with key enterprise clients
  • Serves as an escalation point for high-stakes accounts or complex challenges
  • Ensures consistent delivery of value and client satisfaction
  • Consistently meets or exceeds monthly sales quota and TBR targets
  • Oversees strategic account planning and execution
  • Develops account expansion strategies, including upselling, cross-selling, and renewal planning
  • Monitors account health and proactively addresses risks or churn indicators
  • Works closely with Commercial Operations, Customer Success, Product, and Marketing teams to deliver seamless customer experiences
  • Provides client insights to internal stakeholders to inform product roadmap and service improvements
  • Tracks team performance against KPIs and revenue targets
  • Provides regular reporting on account health, opportunities, and risks to leadership
  • Provides accurate sales forecasts to senior leadership

 

Other Responsibilities:

  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Up to 25% travel required including the use of a personal vehicle and domestic air travel with overnight stays

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 5 years in account management, client success, or B2B sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Proven experience managing and growing large, complex accounts
  • Demonstrated prior experience working for a Managed Services Provider (MSP)
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Ability to develop data-driven strategies and present business cases
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and account management tools
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR)

  • Master's degree a plus
