Job Description: 

This is a hybrid role. Working from the office 2 days a week will be required. Candidates must reside within driving distance of SOHO in NYC, Chicago or Hartford, CT.

Aetna Marketing is seeking a Manager, Marketing AI Activation (PMO) to support the execution, governance, and scaling of Generative Artificial Intelligence technologies and initiatives within the Aetna Marketing organization. This role will serve as the operational backbone of the Marketing AI Activation function, reporting to the Lead Director, Marketing AI Activation 

The AI Activation PMO will help establish and manage governance, prioritization, execution, measurement, and communication of AI initiatives and usage within the Aetna marketing organization. This individual will play a critical role in building and maintaining the AI initiatives inventory and roadmap, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, supporting responsible AI governance processes, and enabling executive-level visibility into progress, impact, and risk. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

AI Program & Portfolio Management 

• Build and maintain a centralized inventory of AI initiatives across Aetna Marketing. 

 Maintain and operationalize a rolling AI roadmap aligned to marketing priorities and enterprise goals. 

• Support intake, prioritization, and sequencing of new AI use cases. 

• Track initiative status, dependencies, risks, and outcomes. 

 

Program Execution & Delivery 

• Coordinate the full lifecycle of AI initiatives from intake through deployment. 

 Facilitate alignment across marketing, compliance, legal, data, and technology teams. 

• Support vendor onboarding and contract coordination. 

• Ensure consistent project documentation and post-implementation reviews. 

 

Responsible AI Governance & Compliance 

• Partner with enterprise AI governance, compliance, and legal teams. 

• Operationalize governance workflows and review checkpoints. 

• Support risk assessments and third-party evaluations. 

 Maintain audit-ready documentation. 

 

Performance Measurement & Reporting 

• Develop dashboards and reports tracking KPIs, adoption, and business impact. 

• Analyze trends to inform prioritization and optimization. 

• Support executive-level scorecards and updates. 

 

Executive & Stakeholder Communication 

• Support executive presentations and leadership updates. 

• Build clear narratives on AI value, risks, and progress. 

• Ensure transparency and consistent messaging. 

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

• Act as a connective layer across marketing, martech, data science, IT, and governance teams. 

 Facilitate working sessions and steering forums. 

 

Required Qualifications 

 5-7+ years of experience in program management, marketing operations, or technology delivery. 

• Experience managing project meetings, dashboards, and request pipelines. 

• Strong organizational and communication skills. 

• Experience preparing executive-facing materials. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

 3+ years managing cross-functional projects or initiatives 

 Solid understanding of AI technologies, responsible AI principles, and risk management frameworks.  

• Experience with AI platforms and workflow automation tools (e.g., Workfront, Power Automate, Google VertexAI, Microsoft CoPilot, Writer.ai), and data visualization/reporting.  

• Experience documenting and or developing AI use cases 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  

 Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or related field.  

• Experience in healthcare, retail, or regulated industries.  

• Certification in agile methodology, project management, or related discipline

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$66,330.00 - $159,120.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
