KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for providing world class operational support for the investor relations, finance, and fund management teams across Bain Capital Credit teams
  • Lead all aspects of the investment operations, with primary focus on the reconciliation functions, for the Credit businesses across multiple investment strategies and asset classes: not limited to, syndicated bank loans, private credit, distressed assets, bonds, structured products, collateralized loan obligations
  • Overseeing and managing the day-to-day work of the team – both internal and external teams; ensuring timely and accurate completion of all deliverables
  • Build, manage and enhance relationships with internal clients and external partners, including the funds’ prime brokers, trading counterparties, administrators and custodians
  • Develop, modify and manage workflows and procedures designed to increase controls and improve efficiency
  • Lead root cause analysis of data quality issues related to specific investment strategies and assets.
  • Establish go-forward set of actions for team to execute and track progress and control.
  • Responsible for staff development and coaching of all direct reports
  • Candid and transparent communication with direct reports and management team

DESIRED BACKGROUND/EDUCATION

  • 5 - 10 years of experience in a complex financial services industry
  • Prior Management experience within Credit Operations required
  • BS or BA with finance and accounting basics
  • Experience with Bloomberg and other trading and settlement software platforms
  • Familiarity with legal documents and credit agreements
  • Experience in Advent Geneva preferred
