Our Opportunity:

Chewy is seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented, ambitious Manager, Instock Management to join our exciting and fast-paced team in Dropship Operations. We need a business savvy and adept problem-solving people leader, who can help us scale our dropship operations. In this role, you will own the overall strategy for how Chewy operates our dropship business, helping define what success looks like. You will be responsible for onboarding new vendors and ensuring they are successful, identifying and analyzing non-compliant vendor issues and working with vendors to reduce operational defects, and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to improve the systems and processes by which we manage the dropship business. A successful leader would be highly analytical, have a deep understanding of supply chain principals, be able to solve complex supply chain problems, and a keen learner who continues to innovate. You will get to work side by side with smart, passionate, and highly motivated entrepreneurs. What You’ll Do:

  • Lead team of 3 Vendor Performance Managers.
  • Partner with technology and product teams to drive improvement in systems, tools and processes.
  • Successfully manage complex suppliers and influence them to improve supply chain performance guided by Chewy’s strategic objectives.
  • Lead multiple, large cross-functional projects and working groups.
  • Analyze multiple, large data sets to identify actionable insights that drive improvement across Chewy’s broader Supply Chain organization.
  • Develop project white papers or project plans. Create larger written documents that require input from multiple cross-functional contributors.
  • Develop scalable solutions for your business that have application across Chewy’s broader Supply Chain organization while defining new cross-functional processes.
  • Influence and negotiate with others to achieve win-win outcomes. Effectively interact with cross-organization leadership using written and verbal communication as needed.
  • Help to design, validate, and institutionalize best practices within the Supply Chain organization.

What You’ll Need:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Supply Chain or advanced degree in related field (General Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering)
  • 1+ year of proven effectiveness as a people leader
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical and problem-solving skills and experience with statistical modeling
  • Proven experience and understanding of purchasing, forecasting, and inventory management
  • Solid Analytical tool kit including advanced proficiency with Excel and SQL
  • Track record of taking ownership and delivering results in data-driven environment

A Plus if You Have:

  • Ecommerce experience
  • Tableau, R, Python, or KNIME experience
  • Experience with traditional Project Management
  • Lean/Six Sigma experience
