Role Overview

The Sales Manager for the Canada team is responsible for leading a team of SDRs and Emerging Account Executives in one of our rapidly growing international markets. This person will be responsible for contributing to and executing the strategic direction as set forth by the Director and VP of Sales, as well as working closely alongside a Senior Manager of Acquisition Sales. The successful candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced sales environment with relatively short sales cycles and high-growth expectations. The Sales Manager will own a segment of the business, and will be responsible for delivering against sales targets. We prefer to promote EAEs from within and you will be responsible for preparing these individuals for their next role. You will help identify and make decisions regarding TAM and feed acquisiton. This market is currently in a hyper growth stage and this person will oftentimes wear many hats to help support this business segment.

  • Hire top candidates 
  • Directly manage a 5 person team of SDRs and EAE
  • Develop SDRs to advance to AE selling roles
  • Work cross functionally with key stakeholders to identify needs of retaining new business
  • Successfully achieve sales targets 
  • Make clear and direct decisions based on the needs of the team

What you'll bring

  • Must be comfortable with rapid and constant change
  • An analytical mindset that allows for deeper inspection of individual, team, and segment-level pipeline development
  • Bring a growth mind-set to the team while continually driving accountability, trust, and integrity
  • Effectively communicates, formally and informally, up and down the organization
  • Contribute to all aspects of sales management administration.
  • Comfortable and proficient in the implementation of sales processes and methodologies (Sandler experience is a plus)
  • Continual spot coaching, as well as organized sessions in the interest of up-skilling members of the team on a professional, personal, and financial basis.
  • Comfortable participating in speaking engagements; face-to-face responsibilities on an ad hoc basis
  • Ability to get in the trenches to strategize and help to move deals across the finish line with the team
  • 2+ years of sales leadership experience.
  • Successful track record of achieving high results in sales and other pursuits
  • Experience selling SaaS or other internet/technology subscriptions is a strong plus
  • Effective user of technology tools, including CRM, to improve sales performance
  • Ambitious sales leader committed to the success of their team
  • Exceptional credibility with previous team members and organizations
  • Strong track record of decisiveness and accountability in previous roles
