Role Overview
As a Junior Designer you will be part of our internal creative team, reporting to the Creative Director. You'll be responsible for designing creative content with a focus on our internal brand deliverables, which span a range of mediums across digital, print and events. In this role, you'll solve problems independently while managing several projects. These projects could include creation of art direction for events, internal presentations, branding new internal initiatives, and assisting with external marketing initiatives for shoppers and dealers. You should be comfortable working with multiple stakeholders across various disciplines at the company. Because the work is diverse, fast-paced, and highly visible, we are looking for someone who has excellent organization, communication, and collaboration skills, and above all, a high level of design craft and attention to detail. You'll collaborate with internal teams from Strategy, People & Talent, Finance and Marketing to elevate every piece of the CarGurus brand to make it the best it can be.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and in addition to benefits this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
US base salary range
$48,000 - $67,000 USD

What you'll do
- Create elevated internal campaigns and communications that leverage the CarGurus visual identity, owning the creative direction from start to finish.
- Execute a variety of creative tasks across many different channels including digital, print, event/experiential within
- Work within brand guidelines and addressing feedback in a clear and timely manner
- Collaborate with many senior stakeholders within the company across disciplines from People & Talent, Internal Comms, Strategy, Finance, Technology and Marketing. Continually adopt new tools and practices, striving to elevate your design, staying in step with latest design trends and digital advancements
- Present and articulate your ideas and design choices effectively with senior stakeholders
- Bring a passion to dive in and learn with a great attitude
What you'll bring
- Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and 1-2 years of related experience
- You are a highly collaborative designer with strong communication skills and a professional presence that can think creatively and effectively articulate their ideas
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail that helps keep projects moving forward
- Comfort and with design programs including Figma and Adobe CC. [Animation and basic motion design is a plus]
- Portfolio of relevant work supported by strong design sensibilities in color, layout, typography and other foundational design elements
- Experience working within a brand design system to create elevated work that is consistent yet highly creative
