JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our location in Lake Bluff, Illinois, currently has an opportunity for a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to join our Finance team supporting Abbott’s Global Engineering Services and Abbott’s Quality and Regulatory departments. 

SUMMARY
The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager will provide comprehensive FP&A support to the Global Engineering Services (GES) and Abbott Quality & Regulatory (AQR) organizations. This role involves leading the forecasting processes for the P&L (gross margin and SG&A expenses) and balance sheet, reviewing Requests for Capital Expenditures (RCEs), delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, and ensuring the integrity of all financial information. This position reports into the Finance Director, Global Procurement and Engineering Services and supervise two direct reports.  
What You Will Do:
•    Support the GES and AQR organizations, reporting directly to the Finance Director, Global Procurement and Engineering Services.
•    Support two Corporate Officers and have exposure to senior finance leadership.
•    Prepare financial forecasts (LBEs, confirmations, and OEM) for GES and AQR P&L and balance sheet, including cash flow.
•    Manage the month-end close process, report monthly financial results and prepare financial presentations for senior leadership.
•    Conduct thorough analysis of monthly actuals and provide insightful commentary.
•    Offer financial support to business partners.
•    Review Requests for Capital Expenditures (RCEs) for capital and leases.
•    Drive continuous improvements and simplifications in financial and business processes.
•    Prepare ad-hoc analyses and review materials for presentations to business and finance leaders.
•    Ensure compliance with financial policies.
•    Actively promote a positive team environment.

Required Skills: 

•    Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance
•    7+ years or more of experience in financial planning, analysis or accounting
•    Proficient with financial modeling, applications and systems such as, SAP, Hyperion, Excel and PowerPoint
•    Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact with and support business partners
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills
•    Ability to work on multiple priorities and execute in a fast-paced environment

Desired Skills:
•    Prior supervisory experience is strongly desired.
•    Knowledge of capital planning processes, P&L and cash flow forecasting.
•    Highly analytical with the ability to tell a compelling financial story.

The base pay for this position is

$111,300.00 – $222,700.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
