The FP&A Manager will play a crucial role in establishing and leading an FP&A team. This role is responsible for providing strategic financial insights, driving financial planning, forecasting, budgeting and performance analysis to support the firm’s strategic goals and decision-making processes. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of financial principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to create transparent financial models that facilitate executive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish FP&A function: Build and scale the FP&A team from the ground up, identifying and implementing best practices, processes, and tools
  • Financial Planning: Lead the annual budgeting process and long-term strategic planning. Work closely with senior management to develop forecasts and financial models
  • Analysis and Reporting: Perform timely and accurate financial analysis, including variance analysis and provide insights to senior management. Prepare and present financial reports.
  • Performance Management: Develop KPIs, dashboards, and performance management systems to monitor business performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Strategic Advising: Partner with business leaders to evaluate financial outcomes, support business cases for new initiatives, and provide recommendations to drive profitability and efficiency
  • Expense forecasting: Create detailed expense forecasts. Track performance against forecasts and provide recommendations for corrective actions
  • Financial Data Management: Ensure data integrity and accuracy within all financial reporting systems.
  • Cost Management: Analyze costs and identify areas of cost savings to improve operating efficiency
  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reports as needed to support strategic initiatives and special projects
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with departments such as trading, technology, and HR to ensure alignment of financial and business goals.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting Economics, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 10+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or a related role, ideally within the trading, financial services or technology industry
  • Technical skills: Proficient in financial modeling and analysis software (e.g., Excel, SQL, financial reporting tools). Knowledge of ERP systems is a plus (Workday, Oracle preferred)
  • Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely
  • Leadership: Proven track record of leading; ability to manage multiple priorities and projects concurrently
  • Attention to detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial analysis and reporting

The annual base salary range for this position is $140,000 to $220,000, depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and relevant skill set. The position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.  In addition, DRW offers a comprehensive suite of employee benefits including group medical, pharmacy, dental and vision insurance, 401k (with discretionary employer match), short and long-term disability, life and AD&D insurance, health savings accounts, and flexible spending accounts.
