Job summary:
Understands tools, architecture, security and scalability needs for assigned software products; provides technical engineering guidance and is responsible for hiring, managing, and deploying resources across team(s) to enable optimal alignment of staff to business priorities. Coaches and evaluates performance and quality of work delivered by team members. Creates a motivating work environment for team(s) and ensures team is constantly learning and delivering solutions. Manages total cost of ownership, advocates for the removal of technical debt, assists and supports team effectiveness. Champions and effectively utilize agile methodology and practices.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensures application or portfolio of platforms are enhanced and maintained to meet business functional needs. In partnership with Product Owner, identifies key performance indicators to measure success of work product.
  • Lead efforts to evaluate, select and implement new technologies
  • Responsible for the end-to-end engineering processes used to deliver applications into production
  • Understands the business domain and product vision; in partnership with other team members (Scrum Master, Architect, Product Owner, etc.) aligns the work of the team toward the shared goals for the product.
  • Initiates and fosters collaborative partnerships with current and potential clients, technology and business managers, vendors and technology executives; develops relationships that support increasing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manages the quality of work delivered by team members and deals effectively with performance issues in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates and delivers performance reviews and drives professional development, including rotations and special assignments.
  • Hires talent and facilitates or provides mentoring experiences. Provides relevant technical coaching and support team members.

Qualifications
What You Will Need...
  • Proven success implementing large scale application development
  • Deep understanding of business domain as well as the application ecosystems they depend upon
  • Objective decision making, able to use those metrics to identify correlation between drivers and results, and using that information to drive prioritization and action
  • Takes Initiative and demonstrates creativity in solving problems and innovation
  • Ability to balance multiple assignments distributed across multiple teams
  • Clearly able to connect how product outcomes interrelate and have a strategic impact
  • Ability to build and maintain a network of contacts

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of hands-on development and/or solutions engineering experience
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing a large team comprised of multiple agile teams
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts, platforms, and technologies
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD, Release Management, and Configuration Management processes and tooling
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate to technical and non-technical audience
  • Experience with planning, budgeting, establishing and communicating roadmaps
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, proactive, and ability to thrive in an uncertain environment
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
  • Preferred - Recent hands-on experience with developing or designing software solutions
