Manager, EHS Management Systems

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a Manager – EHS Management Systems for our Corporate EHS Compliance team.

This highly motivated, driven individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining management systems applicable to Triumvirate’s operations.

This position reports to the Corporate Director, Compliance Assurance, Systems, and Programs. This role is onsite and is based in Boston, MA. Hybrid work from the Boston region may be approved on a case by case basis.  

Essential responsibilities:

Management System Development & Implementation:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of an integrated management system framework for Triumvirate, including ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety), and ISO 9001 (Quality Management). Experience developing Integrated Management System (IMS) is preferred.
  • Develop and maintain management system documentation, including policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Ensure that management systems align with Triumvirate’s Corporate needs, client needs, and comply with relevant standards and regulatory requirements.

 Compliance & Certification:

  • Coordinate with third-party certification bodies and prepare for client management system related audits.
  • Manage audit preparation, follow-up, and the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Monitor changes to industry standards and ensure that management systems are updated accordingly.

 Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within management systems to enhance quality performance, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct internal audits and gap assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with management system standards.
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

 Client & Stakeholder Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding their management system requirements.
  • Provide training and support on management system standards and principles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and supply chain, to ensure management systems are integrated into business operations. 
Reporting & Documentation:
  • Prepare and present reports on system performance, audit results, and improvement initiatives to senior management and clients.
  • Maintain records and documentation related to management systems, certifications, audits, and non-conformances.

Basic Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Integrated Management Systems, EHS Management Systems, ISO Management Systems, Quality Management Systems, or similar roles.
  • Proven track record of managing ISO certification processes (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Experience conducting internal audits and managing external audits by certification bodies.
  • Familiarity with management system principles and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Strong understanding of ISO standards and quality management systems.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  •  Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex topics.
  • Proficient in developing and conducting training.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification for ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) is highly desirable.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification is a plus.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship 
  • Must have a reliable form of transportation
