About the Role:

The Communications team at Hims & Hers is responsible for shaping how the world understands our company’s role in advancing modern healthcare. We develop strategies to raise awareness, increase acceptance, build trust and loyalty, and drive adoption of our products and services. Our job is to find creative and compelling ways to educate, inform, and inspire the world of Hims & Hers, as well as the broader healthcare industry.

We’re looking for a Manager of Corporate Communications to join the team responsible for driving and executing a world class communications strategy that helps our partners, investors, lawmakers, and the public connect with the company’s mission, brand, and vision. In this role, you’ll support high-priority initiatives across business, policy, executive, and trust & safety communications. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Communications, you’ll work closely with senior members of the Communications team and our cross-functional partners in legal, finance, government relations, and marketing to position Hims & Hers as a leader in healthcare, consumer experience, and strategic growth. You’ll also help shape proactive and reactive strategies that communicate how Hims & Hers advances safe, responsible, and accessible healthcare, with a focus on supporting policy and trust narratives.

We’re a team of intellectually curious, creative storytellers and problem solvers. You love making the complex simple and the abstract resonate. You thrive working in the fast pace of a startup while being the steward of a public company that serves people’s health and well being. You can identify areas of risk and opportunity for our narrative, and you bring experience thinking holistically about corporate reputation

You Will:
  • Support and strengthen a strategy and narrative that increases appreciation for and understanding of Hims & Hers’ unique direct-to-consumer business model, industry expertise, and brand resonance through communications initiatives, press engagement, and content

  • Serve as a key team member on announcements, initiatives, and campaigns that promote and protect the company’s reputation, including reactive issues management

  • Lead the strategy behind our Comms X handle and develop content that reaches press, investors, and our key stakeholders with consistent, creative storytelling, and critical information during crises

  • Draft and refine communications related to regulatory developments, legislative priorities, and consumer safety.

  • Develop a range of communication materials including messaging, scripts, press materials, and company presentations in partnership with internal stakeholders.

  • Monitor sentiment, media cycles, competitive intelligence, and policy trends to inform strategy and narrative development

You Have:
  • 5 years of experience in corporate communications, financial, policy, or crisis communications. Agency experience or in-house experience at a public company is a plus.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or public relations

  • Knowledge of, and comfort with, public policy, as well as experience operating within a regulated industry.

  • Experience building relationships with media beyond day-to-day news alerts

  • Outstanding and concise written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfort working with cross-functional partners across legal, policy, investor relations, clinical, and quality & safety functions

  • Proven ability to support fast, high-quality responses to crisis situations as well as looking around corners to reduce risk

  • An entrepreneurial spirit and a bias towards action

Our Benefits (there are more but here are some highlights):
  • Competitive salary & equity compensation for full-time roles

  • Unlimited PTO, company holidays, and quarterly mental health days

  • Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental & vision, and parental leave

  • Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP)

  • 401k benefits with employer matching contribution

  • Offsite team retreats

We are committed to building a workforce that reflects diverse perspectives and prioritizes ethics, wellness, and a strong sense of belonging. If you're excited about this role, we encourage you to apply—even if you're not sure if your background or experience is a perfect match.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
