We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Contracts supporting the Kuwait PATRIOT Program within the Middle East North Africa (MENA) Global Patriot Sub Strategic Business Unit (SSBU), which is within the Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU).  This position focuses on proposal activity and contract execution for the Kuwait PATRIOT program portfolio.  The portfolio includes Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)-based Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contracts with the US Army.

This role will be an integral part of the business teams, supporting strategic solutions, and providing dynamic recommendations for proposal, negotiation, and execution issues.  The candidate should be an effective communicator, highly motivated, and well-organized who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

What You Will Do

  • Provide sound skills to meet customer obligations, achieve company objectives, and comply with company policies

  • Perform as key contributor during the pre-proposal strategy, proposal development, negotiation, and start up phases of programs

  • Analyze Requests for Proposal (RFP), development of proposals, proposal reviews and coordination, negotiation, contractual agreements, contracts execution, and contract administration

  • Work closely within cross-functional teams to construct, submit, and negotiate Terms and Conditions and pricing proposals

  • Effectively manage scope and terms and conditions to ensure work is performed to the overall contract

  • Provide guidance regarding contractual and business issues, advising management of contractual rights and obligations as well as possible mitigation of contractual / program risks

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers and internal partners

  • Some domestic and/or international travel required to customer locations

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' experience

  • Experience with one or more of the following: Contracts Administration, Program Management, Supply Chain Management, or Finance

  • Experience with US Government contracts under the under the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and / or Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS)

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Fixed Price Incentive Fee (FPIF), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) Contract types.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships with customers and internal partners based on understanding, teamwork, and trust

  • Professional, effective written, and verbal communication skills to interface with all levels of internal and external customers; thorough analytical skills; excellent interpersonal skills; be adaptable to a variety of business situations

  • Experience working in an exciting environment and ability to multi-task across multiple programs and demonstrated record of responsiveness with excellent time management and organization skills

  • Juris Doctor or MBA a plus

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
