We are seeking a Manager of Business Operations to support our DSP team. This is a role for someone who is excited by how businesses operate, enjoys solving ambiguous problems, and wants broad exposure to strategy, analytics, and cross-functional execution. The mission of this role is to eliminate friction, unlock revenue opportunities, and modernize operations through process excellence, workflow design, documentation, automation, and practical uses of AI. The role is expected to surface inefficiencies, translate them into actionable solutions, measure the behaviors that drive revenue outcomes, and help operational teams execute against a more scalable operating model.

Strategically, this role serves as a bridge across business, operational, and technical teams. It connects strategy with day-to-day execution, ensuring that operational issues are not only identified but resolved through structured processes, clear ownership, and durable tooling. This is a great role for someone who wants to develop into a well-rounded business operator. You will have the opportunity to work on both high-visibility strategic projects and the day-to-day operating mechanisms that keep the business running effectively.

What You’ll Do:

This role is a combination of cross-functional program management, executive rhythm of the business, and partner operations.

  • Track key goals, priorities, and initiatives for aligned business partners.

  • Create and maintain SOPs, process maps, playbooks, decision trees, and other operational documentation.

  • Centralize knowledge so teams can execute consistently and reduce reliance on tribal knowledge. Improve operating clarity by documenting handoffs, ownership, escalation paths, and workflow standards.

  • Partner with internal and external teams to build automation for mundane and repetitive tasks related to the teams you support with through deploying agentic tools in alignment with our centralized DSP AI architecture and tooling standards.

  • Collaborate with the Analytics team to ensure alignment of reporting metrics across various reporting tools and systems to further support data confidence and accuracy.

  • Develop analytics framework used to answer important business questions and develop materials for business reviews and leadership meetings.

  • Identify trends, opportunities, and areas of underperformance and help translate them into actionable insights. Design & execute scalable operational solutions based on the insights.

  • Use data and stakeholder feedback to refine processes, prioritize future improvements, and quantify business value. Evaluate and improve the tools used to manage the business.

  • Support annual and quarterly business planning processes. Help coordinate operating reviews, leadership meetings, and other recurring business cadences.

  • Support high-priority strategic initiatives sponsored by the GM, Strategy, or senior leaders.

What Success Looks Like:

In this role, success means becoming a trusted, highly effective problem solver and operator who can take a loosely defined question, structure the problem, develop the analysis, communicate the answer clearly, and help drive the resulting action.

Over Time, You Should Be Able To:

  • Own recurring business processes with limited oversight.

  • SOPs, playbooks, decision trees, and knowledge repositories.

  • Produce analysis that directly informs leadership decisions.

  • Manage small cross-functional projects from start to finish.

  • Become a go-to resource for understanding business performance.

  • Surface automation opportunities and AI-enabled workflow recommendations.

  • Identify opportunities for improvement rather than simply responding to requests.

  • Develop strong relationships across Finance, Analytics, Strategy, Sales, Product, and other functional teams.

What We are Looking For:

  • 5+ years in business operations, strategy & operations, program management, or a chief-of-staff function, ideally within adtech, programmatic, or digital media

  • Demonstrated ability to build and scale processes, playbooks, and operational frameworks

  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to turn operational data into clear business insights.

  • Comfort working across technical and non-technical stakeholders.Comfort working with ambiguity and solving problems without a clearly defined playbook

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear recommendations

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment. Track record of driving decisions without formal authority over the people who need to make them.

  • Curiosity about how businesses work and a willingness to learn across functions

Strongly Preferred:

  • Hands-on use of AI/agentic tooling to do the work preferably Claude, Claude Code, or comparable — with real examples of workflows you automated and what it saved.

  • Experience operationalizing a customer segmentation or service-tier model, including the measurement layer.

  • Programmatic advertising background: DSP mechanics, supply paths, take rates, managed vs. self-service economics.

The Ideal Candidate:

You are someone who naturally asks “why?” and “what should we do about it?” You enjoy digging into a spreadsheet, but you also want to understand the business context behind the numbers. You are comfortable moving between analysis, project management, and communication. You have strong judgment for your level, are highly reliable, and take pride in producing work that is both rigorous and useful. Most importantly, you are excited to be a business operator, not just an analyst—you want to understand the problem, help develop the answer, and see it through to execution.

Note: The material job duties and responsibilities of this role include those listed above as well as adhering to Yahoo policies; exercising sound judgment; working effectively, safely and inclusively with others; exhibiting trustworthiness and meeting expectations; and safeguarding business operations and brand integrity.
